First Bus in Somerset is making changes to its services this August to help improve punctuality and make journeys more reliable for passengers.
As part of the operator’s biannual network changes, amends to timetables have been made following a detailed review of how services have been running.
Service CR6 Bridport Hospital - Beaminster | Disruption
Due to an accident involving one of our buses, the 11:40 CR6 from Bridport Hospital - Beaminster will not run. A replacement bus has been dispatched to ensure the next CR6 will run as planned from Bridport Hospital - Yeovil at 13:10.

Due to a full and unexpected closure of Rochdale Road at West Vale, the 501 is continuing to Holywell Green, onto Broad Carr Lane, to the junction of Victoria Road and Jepson Lane and then as normal to Huddersfield.

Due to an emergency road closure in Hunts Pond Road, Route X4 will be diverting as follows:
Towards Southampton: Wasash Road to Locks Road. Returning to normal route from Locks Heath Centre.
A £3 million investment by First Bus in Glasgow has led to a significant 13.5% average increase in on-time performance across its services.
The investment was made in bus and driver resource to implement new timetables created by AI-driven software, which works to account for issues on the route, ultimately aiming to increase the reliability of its services and create an improved experience for customers.
