As part of the continuing project to improve passenger facilities in St Stephens Street, phase two of the installation of new bus shelters will now commence on Thursday 11th April 2023.

Phase two of these works means that we will now be unable to serve any stops on the Sainsbury Local / W.H. Smith / Iceland side of the street until that phase of work is completed.

Pink,Green, Purple and Turquoise line services will only pick up in Castle Meadow (unless terminating at this point) and then divert via Surrey Street and All Saints Green to the next pick up point on St Stephens Road or Southwell Road.

All Charcoal line services (40, 40a, 41, 41a, X41) will operate to and from Stand M in the bus station

All Yellow line services (28, 29, X29towards the city will operate as far as their drop off point in Castle Meadow (Stop CS). Journeys from the city will operate from St Stephens Street (Stop BE)

All UTCN services (including service 7 from Great Yarmouth) will operate through Castle Meadow as usual and then serve Stand R (outside UEA Halls of Residence) in the bus station.

All journeys towards the city on these services will operate their usual routes and will be able to serve stops in St Stephens Street as they go through towards Castle Meadow.

We apologise for any disruption that this may cause and we will advise on progress and the date that we expect to resume full service to St Stephens Street as soon as we know the exact date.
