The Chelmsford Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday 3rd March 2024.

Whilst the marathon is underway, traffic management will be enforced to ensure the safety of race participants. For the duration of the event there will be traffic short holds, temporary bus stop closures, rolling road closures and route diversions implemented. 

The road closures begin at 05:00am and are scheduled to have ended by 13:00. Please note. road closures may re-open earlier depending on how quickly the runners complete sections of the race.

Rayne Road, Braintree will be closed, on a nightly basis, for roadworks from Thursday 29th February to Saturday 9th March 2024 (between 19:00 and 05:00 hours).

This is a partial road closure -

• The 370 service will operate as normal towards Chelmsford.
• The 370 service operating towards Halstead will divert via High Street, St Michaels Rd and Fairfield Road before returning to normal line of route at Braintree Bus Station.
