We're making timetable changes from Sunday 4th January

From Sunday 4th January 2026, we will be making punctuality improvements to our bus services across Essex. 

*UPDATED 19/11/2025* The 20/11/2025 to 22/11/2026 road closure of North Station Road, Colchester has been postponed. 

• The permit's start date is now 27/11/2025
• The permit's end date is now 29/11/2025

North Station Road, Colchester is closed for overnight roadworks (19:30 - 05:00) from 27/11/2025 - 29/11/2025.

Impacted services: 51, 52, 53, 53A, 2A, 68, 87 & X20

Service 201 Gartleahill

Due to roadworks, Service 201 will not serve Lingley Avenue, Woodfoot Road or Target Road until works conclude.

Pembroke road between Clifton Park and Alma Road will be closed overnight to service 5. 8 and 77 between 20:00 and 06:00 on Thursday 20th November to facilitate carriageway works.

Services 5 and 77 will be diverted via Clifton Down and Pembroke Road to resume normal routes at Alma Road in both directions and will be unable to serve the Lansdown Road and Clifton Park bus stops. Passengers are advised to board or alight at the Clifton Village bus stops for either direction.

Due to a broken down car, the Corner of Victoria Road / Askern Road is blocked.

Diversions as follows, until further notice: 
Services will continue on The Avenue to the turning circle to turn around and operate the opposite way along The Avenue, right at the end and waiting time at Tescos.
