On Sunday 15th October 2023 The Great South Run will take place between 9am and 4pm. Roads will be closed all alone Southsea Seafront, Old Portsmouth, The Hard Interchange and Queens Street. All Park and Ride services will Start & finish at the City Centre and will not serve the Hard Interchange. Services 1, 2, X4,7 & 8 will start and finish their journey at the City Centre. Services 1 & 3 will divert away from the Hard via Arundel Street, Victoria Road North and Elm Grove finishing at the Strand where the return journey will begin. We are unable to serve South Parade Pier.
The Miami Roundabout (Wood Street) will be closed overnight as follows:
- from 19:00 hours on Sunday 8th October 2023
- to 05:00 hours on Monday 9th October 2023
The C1 service will divert in both directions via Parkway, The Army and Navy Roundabout, Baddow Road and Beehive Lane before returning to normal of route at Deadman's Lane bus stop.
Unfortunately the following bus stops will not be served whilst the diversion is in affect:
There is a planned weekend road closure taking place between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00, Friday 6th October to Monday 9th October 2023.
The A12 will be subject to a road closure between Junction 25 (Marks Tey) and Junction 26 (Stanway).
There will likely be heavy congestion in and around the local area which will cause long delays to services X71/371.
Therefore, services X71/371 will be placed on a planned diversion (north-bound direction only) between the hours of 10:00 and 19:00 (Saturday and Sunday only).
On Sunday 26th November 2023 , between the hours of 11:00 and 21:00, Great Dunmow High Street will be closed for Christmas Festivities (Christmas Lights switch-on & Christmas Market).
For the duration of the road closure, the X20 and X30 services will divert (in both directions) via Dunmow Bypass.
Unfortunately, the following bus stops will not be served:
There are planned overnight road closures taking places between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00, Monday 2nd October to 6th November 2023.
- The A120 will be subject to a road closure between Little/Great Dunmow and Stansted.
- Thremhall Avenue (within Stansted Airport grounds) will be subject to a road closure.
The X10, X20 and X30 will divert (in both directions) via Takeley.
No stops will be missed - but the services will likely experience delays due to congestion in and around the area.
