Colchester Road, West Bergholt is closed for roadworks from 28/01/2026 to 01/03/2026.
Due to the location of the road closure - the 53 / 53A will be placed on diversion:
Towards West Bergholt: Normal line of route. All bus stops served.
Towards Colchester: The 53 / 53A will divert via Mumford Road, Donard Drive and Chapel Road before returning to normal line of route.
The following bus stops will not be served:
Services 41/41A are currently unable to serve The Street, Brooke due to the positioning of temporary traffic lights and signage at its junction with the B1332 Norwich Road.
Services will divert via Entrance Road both ways and turning at the loop by the church.

Due to a breakdown, service X1 never departed Yarmouth at 11:00, meaning the 11:55 X11 from Norwich to Acle will also not run.

First Bus in Berkshire and the Thames Valley will launch two new express bus services, offering faster, more direct journeys to Uxbridge in north west London from High Wycombe and Slough.
The services will begin on Monday 2 March.
George Burton, Head of Network, said: “These new services will give commuters a genuine alternative to travelling by car.”

Severe delays to all services due to Police incident in Halifax town centre. Burdock Way, North Bridge and Charlestown Road are all closed.
