Bruff Close, Colchester will be closed for roadworks from Monday 4th March to Saturday 9th March 2024 (between 19:00 and 05:00 on a daily basis).

Due to the location of the road closure, the S1-S2-11-68-81A services will be unable to serve Bruff Close bus stop (in both directions).

A1124 Colchester Road (White Colne) & High Street (Earls Colne) will be closed for carriageway patching from Friday 1st March to Wednesday 6th March 2024 (between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00).

Service 88/A will be permitted through the road closure.

Please note: there might be slight delays to service as the bus will be required to wait for an operative to escort them through the closure.

Between the 4-11th March Lake Road/Cornmill Street will be closed OVERNIGHT only between 8pm and 6am. Services 3 and 7 will not be able to serve the stop at Cornmill Street towards the City and will divert away from this area via Church Street and Market Way. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.

We will be making some timetable changes and renumbering some of our services across South Yorkshire to improve punctuality, bringing more links and buses for the community. All Doncaster buses will start with the number 3 to differentiate our cross services and simplify them.

First Eastern Counties have a long standing relationship with the East Anglia Transport Museum (EATM) in Carlton Colville, supporting events throughout the year by providing a free Park & Ride shuttle bus for visitors to use from the nearby Co-op.

The Partnership

In May 2023, First Eastern Counties revealed the results of its ongoing partnership with local volunteer organisation, Norwich Pride in the form of a single deck bus wearing a bespoke livery to celebrate both national Pride month and the annual Norwich Pride event.

Designed by Norwich Pride volunteer, Paul Bale, the eyecatching livery has been designed to match the group’s established publicity style, and incorporates local landmarks sitting alongside the iconic Norwich Lion, suitable adorned with Pride colours.
