X3 X85 X87 services - Stirling Road/Castle Street closure

Sauchiehall Street at Radnor Street West Bound only.

To allow for emergency road works on Tuesday 17th December until works are completed Sauchiehall Street will be closed at Radnor Street towards Partick only.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 3 & 77 towards Partick.

Normal route Sauchiehall Street at Gray Street, left Gray Street, right Argyle Street continue Argyle Street normal route.

To allow for Motorway works on Sunday the 22nd of December and Monday the 23rd of December, the M8 J26 West Bound will be closed between 22:00 and 06:00 each night.

During the closure, the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 500 towards Glasgow Airport:

Normal route to M8 J26 West Bound and take off slip then via the 3rd exit at the roundabout onto Hillington Road, then Glasgow Road, Glebe Street, Paisley Road, Renfrew Road, 3rd exit at roundabout to on slip for M8 J27 towards the Airport to the normal line of route.

Due to road works on Friday 20th December at 22:00 until Saturday 21st December at 06:00 - Waterloo Street on slip will be closed.

During the closure, all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation:

Service 500 towards the Airport:

Normal route Waterloo Street then diverting via Pitt Street, St Vincent Street and Newton Street to rejoin the M8 back to the normal route.

Due to a gas leak at Ardencraig Road, services are diverted.

Services affected: 46, 5, 75

Diversion is as follows and in place until further notice: 
Castlemilk Drive both ways

Service diversions will be in place until the road is clear - no end date has been given yet for these works.
 

To allow for Motorway works the M8 J15 on slip from Stirling Road/Castle Street is closed. 

20th - 21st December, between 22:00-06:00 each night.

Services affected: X3 X85 X87
 

During the closure, the following diversion will be in operation:

Services X3 X85 & X87 towards Kirkintilloch/Cumbernauld:
Normal route Stirling Road at St James Road, Castle Street, Alexandra Parade, Cumbernauld Road, Provan Road and roundabout M80 Junction 1 on slip, M80 to resume the normal route.

The St James Road stop will be observed. 

Service 81 - Morrison Street, Duntocher

To allow for road works on Tuesday 10th December until Monday 23rd December Morrison Street will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 81 towards Clydebank diverting via Auchentoshan Avenue at Morrison Street, Auchentoshan Avenue, Dumbarton Road onto normal route.

Glasgow Airport Express - Service 500

To allow for Building Works on Bath Street at West Nile Street bus stop 6090168 will be closed from Wednesday 09/10 from 09:30 for up to 6 Months.

During the closure, please use prior stop 60904044 under Buchanan Galleries.

To allow for emergency Gas Leak at Charing Cross, Woodlands Road towards Sauchiehall Street is closed until works completed.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 4, 4A towards City.

Normal route Eldon Street at roundabout, 1st exit onto Woodlands Road, 3rd exit at roundabout Park Road, right Great Western Road, West Graham Street and take on slip to M8 West Bound stay on inside lane and exit for Charing Cross, left Sauchiehall Street normal route.

Due to works by Network Rail, Thornliebank Road will be closed from 2nd April 2024 until Thursday 12th June 2025.

Thornliebank Road will be closed at Thornliebank Railway Station. This will have a resulting impact on services 57 & 57A, which will operate a diversion as a result of the road closure. Customers are advised to expect some delays to services as a result due to the diverted route.

The services will divert as follows;

Service 57 will operate;

From Shawlands;

Normal route to Thornliebank road, left via Auldhouse Road - Nether Auldhouse Road - Kilmarnock Road - Fenwick Road - Orchard Drive - Orchard Park Avenue - left to Thornliebank Main Street where the route will continue as normal. 

Towards Shawlands the route will operate the same diversion in reverse. 

Service 57A will operate;

From Shawlands;

Normal route to Thornliebank road, left via Auldhouse Road - Nether Auldhouse Road - Kilmarnock Road - Fenwick Road - Orchard Drive - Orchard Park Avenue - right into Thornliebank Main Street and left into Boydstone Road where the route will continue as normal. 

Towards Shawlands the route will operate the same diversion in reverse. 

Please note that during the closure of Thornliebank Road at Railway Bridge, bus stops on Nether Auldhouse Road, Kilmarnock Road and Fenwick Road will not be served by Service 57/57A.

Service 57A will serve the following on Thornliebank Road:

Both 57/57A will serve the temporary stops on Auldhouse Road. Service 57 will use the last stop on Orchard Park Ave for Silverburn - the 57A will not.

Please note that stops in the area affected by the road closure, and along the diversion route will not be served during this time, to allow the service to continue to travel without journey times being extended.
