16-21 My Travel Pass

The mytravelpass scheme is funded by Welsh Government. It provides discounted bus fares to young people in Wales, so if you're aged 16-21 you can save approximately 1/3 - and it's free!

This is a completely free scheme that makes travelling by bus that bit more appealing! Whether you're a getting to lectures on our student services or exploring the Pembrokeshire countryside on board our Tenby Coaster you can access your savings. 

It's also really easy to use, just show it to our driver and they'll make sure that you get the discounted ticket. If you fancy speedier boarding, don't forget that many of our discounted mytravelpass tickets can be purchased through our app - just remember to show the driver your card as you scan your mTicket.

How do I use mytravelpass?

Show your mytravelpass card to the bus driver, who will take the correct amount off the cost of your ticket. If you fancy speedier boarding, don't forget that many of our discounted mytravelpass tickets can be purchased through our app - just remember to show the driver your card as you scan your mTicket. 

What does 'approx 30%' mean?

Your card will provide approx 1/3 off the equivalent full adult bus fare that you would otherwise be charged for tickets purchased on board the bus. Some of our tickets are cheaper than standard adult tickets - our range of tickets specifically for students for example. Your mytravelpass would then give you an additional saving!

When Can I use mytravelpass?

You can use mytravelpass at any time of day and on any day of the week that the services operate, including weekends and bank holidays. There is no restriction on the type of journey you make when you use mytravelpass. Your journey can be for school or college, visiting friends and leisure.

Who is eligible for a mytravelpass?

Anyone living in Wales aged 16 to 21 can use mytravelpass.  You should have a permanent address in Wales or attend full time education in Wales. Only the person to whom the card is registered to and whose photograph appears on the card is able to use mytravelpass.

If anyone else attempts to use the card then this will be considered as fraud and the card will be cancelled.  You may also face the risk of prosecution.

I study in Wales, am I eligible for mytravelpass?

If you are in full time education in Wales and you fit the age criteria then you are entitled to a mytravelpass.

I'm visiting Wales, am I eligible for mytravelpass?

The scheme is only available if you live in Wales permanently or during term time (if you are a student in full time education).
