First Eastern Counties celebrates Norfolk Day
Local bus operator, First Eastern Counties, has today unveiled an on-bus community display to celebrate Norfolk Day.
Over the last two months, members of the public and local organisations have been sending in their submissions after the bus company posed the question “What do you love about Norfolk?” on their social media channels. These contributions, coupled with quotes from famous historical figures and everyday facts about the county have been elegantly stitched together into a bright exhibition that bus passengers can enjoy as they travel around Norwich and Norfolk.
Chris Speed, Operations Director for First Eastern Counties said, “It was great to see so many people send their artwork, photos and words in, and we were thrilled to be able to give the winning contributors the chance to see their work before the bus hit the road. All the pieces on show describe Norfolk for what it is, an amazingly beautiful place with so much to offer. First Eastern Counties is proud to be part of Norfolk’s history and it’s great to see the community get in involved with Norfolk’s very own mobile history bus.”
The bus will operate on many of the Network Norwich bus routes, all across the city and beyond.
