Business Update: The Sale of First Scotland East
First Bus has agreed to sell its First Scotland East business and all its routes in the area to McGill’s Group.
To allow for works on Monday 5th September and Tuesday 6th September between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs overnight Waterloo Street on ramp will close.
The nearest stop for Service 500 Waterloo Street at West Campbell Street
Due to overnight roadworks (between the hours of 20:00 - 05:00), 2nd - 14th September, Great Knightleys road will be closed at its junction with Laindon Link Road.
Service B1 will divert at The Plough & Tractor PH via Ballards Walk, Nicholas Lane and Laindon High Road (in both directions).
During this time the following bus stops will not be served:
- Mynchens
- Falstones
- Tyler Avenue
- Albert Drive
- Shopping Centre/Health Centre
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Due to the closure of Bristol Community Transport, unfortunately there will be no metrobus m1 services on Saturday 3 September or Sunday 4 September as the service transfers to First Bus.
However it is still possible to make journeys over the weekend, using alternative First Bus services with your First Bus ticket:
John Street will be closed in both directions on 06 Sept from 07:00 until 18:00
Service 12 heading to Torry
From Caroline Place:
• continue to Woolmanhill roundabout
• 3rd exit onto Skene Street
• left onto Rosemount Viaduct
• right onto Union Terrace
• resume normal route
Service 12 heading to Northfield
From Union Terrace:
• left into Rosemount Viaduct
• continue into South Mount Street
• right into Rosemount Place
• 1st exit at roundabout onto Caroline Place
• resume normal route
Kewstoke Road in Kewstoke, WsM is currently closed to service 1 and will remain fully closed until last bus on Friday 1st December to facilitate emergency carriageway works.
Service1 will regretfully be unable to serve any bus stops between and including Victoria Place on the sea front and Owls Crest in Sand Bay.
Passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Winter Gardens bus stop on the sea front on Lower Norton Lane bus stop in Sand Bay.
There will be some delays to the service due to the length of the diversion that will be in place.

The Severn Card is multi-operator bus pass for students aged 19 and under and can be used on participating bus services in Worcestershire. They're available as an annual, termly or half termly pass.
