Update 22/06/26- This closure has been postponed until Monday 29th June.

The Sheepway, Portishead will be closed from 25th June until further notice for strengthening works to the bridge, for the railway line construction. This will affect service X4.

Buses will divert between The Vale stops on Wyndham Way and the stops at Gordano Services via The Portbury Hundred in both directions, missing out the stops at Conference Close, Portishead Ecology Park, Shipway Farm, Elm Tree Park and Station Road. 

Emergency closure of Bank Corner (Lawton Road) in Alsager. Buses are diverting as follows:

To Crewe:
Normal route to Lawton crossroads, turn right, take the next left turning onto Sandbach Road, turn left onto Sandbach Road North (white fences opposite turn) follow all the way to the bottom of the road, at the crossroads turn right then normal route.

St Saviours Road is closed at the junction of Temple Road from 15th June 2026 until 19th June 2026

Services to divert as follows:

Outbound: Normal route to Gwendolen Road, Broad Avenue back to normal route

Inbound: Normal route to The General Hospital. After exiting the Hospital, Broad Avenue, Gwendolen Road, Evington Valley Road back to normal route.

Bernham Road is closed 15th June - 3rd July

Station Road, Kiveton is now open and services are back to normal.

X5 Service - Until further notice

Station Road, Kiveton is blocked by a non bus RTC.

Services diverted via Mansfield Road, A57 (over the M1), Todwick roundabout (Red Lion), Kiveton Lane (Saxon PH) in both directions.

First Bus is encouraging fans to avoid ‘extra time’ after watching England’s group games in the World Cup in pubs and bars across the country.

And the operator is reminding supporters that buses will be available to get them home after the final whistle.

Late evening buses and some overnight services will be operating in 10 towns, cities and regions in England: Bath, Bristol, Berkshire, Essex, Leeds, Norwich, Portsmouth, Southampton and Wessex/Dorset.
