Safety on public transport must be universal, but for some women and girls, this standard is not yet met. Safety is not a privilege; it is a right.
The well-respected operator, established in Leeds for more than 40 years, runs a fleet of around 15 modern, fully wheelchair-accessible vehicles and employs approximately 25 colleagues, all of whom will continue to work for the company. General Manager Paul Lynn will continue to lead the operation as part of First Bus’s coach team, ensuring a smooth transition for customers.

Service 9/9A | Rowner Roundabout | Emergency Diversion
Due to Rowner Roundabout being shut in all directions, services are diverting as follows:
Service 9 to Gosport: Normal route to Green Grescent, Rowner Road, Brading Avenue, Carisbrook Road, Rowallen Avenue to normal route at Homer Close.
Service 9 to Fareham: No right turn into Mansfield Road continue ahead on Roawllen Avenue, Carisbrooke Road, Brading Avenue, Wych Way Inn, Rowner Road, Green Crescent, back to normal route.
Service U4 | Penrose Hill, Porthleven | Road Closure
22nd and 23rd December | 09.30 - 15.30
There will be a closure along Penrose Hill, Porthleven between 09:30 and 15:30. This will affect the U4. We will be unable to serve stops between the Boating Lake and Penrose Hill.

Belle Vue Road, Wivenhoe is closed for roadworks from 05/12/2025 - 31/12/2025.
Due to the location of the road closure - the 87 service will divert in both directions via Rectory Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:
- Wivenhoe Cross
- Rosabelle Avenue
- Wivenhoe Co-op
- Wivenhoe Cemetery

The long-established operator runs a fleet of around 15 modern, wheelchair-accessible coaches, delivering private school transport, contract work, private hire and services for FlixBus, for whom it operates dedicated vehicles. Approximately 25 employees, including general manager Paul Lynn, will continue to work for J&B Travel under First Bus ownership.
First Bus described the acquisition as a natural fit, with J&B Travel’s high-quality fleet and reputation complementing its existing coach operations across the UK.
Colne Road, Halstead will be closed for overnight roadworks from 19:00hrs on 05/01/2026 to 02:00hrs on 06/01/2026.
The 370 service will be permitted through the road closure.
