Lodge Road, Writtle is closed for roadworks from 25/02/2026 to 03/03/2026. 

Due to the location of the roadworks - the C4 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Writtle: The C4 will divert via Ongar Road, Bulimers Way, Greenbury Way (A414) and Westway.

Knightswood Road now clear and services back to normal

Due to a road traffic collision on Knightswood Road to city only normal route to Baldwin Ave continue Baldwin ave left on to Cowdenhill Road normal route.

Through the partnership, Essex Police is using high-power charging infrastructure at First Bus’s Basildon depot to support its growing electric fleet, which this year will increase to 50 electric vehicles. All passengers waiting at Parkway Flats need to wait at Hen Dderwen as Parkway Flats will not be served. This is until further notice.
