Mersea Road, Abberton is closed for roadworks from 01/09/2026 to 07/09/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 55 will divert in both directions via Abbot's Road, Old Heath Road, Fingringhoe Road and Weir Lane.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

Bridgwater Drive, Westcliff-on-Sea is closed for roadworks from 01/09/2026 to 14/09/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 25 will divert in both directions via Prince Avenue and Southbourne Grove.

114 & X1 Services - 0001 Saturday 5th until 2359 Sunday 6th September (at all times)

Middle Lane South will be closed between Badsley Moor Lane & Wordsworth Drive for roadworks.

114 Service diverted via Tennyson Road & Middle Lane South (without serving Badsley Moor Lane) in both directions.

X1 Services diverted via Badsley Moor Lane (over the roundabout), Browning Road, Tennyson Road & Middle Lane South in both directions.

Charnock Hall Road, Charnock Dale Road, Arnold Avenue & Carter Hall Road will again be closed for resurfacing works.

Services to terminate/commence at Gleadless Townend.
