Cross Gates Ring Road closure 19:00 01/10 - 06:00 02/10

Services towards the White Rose will divert from York Road via A64 York Road, Cross Gates Road, 2nd exit at the roundabout, and resume the normal route.

Services towards Seacroft are unaffected.

Ironman 2026 - Sunday 20th September 

Disruption expected until 19:00. Please note that some services may revert to normal once the roads reopen.

Outbound services

Service 2: Unaffected.

Church Lane, Bocking is closed for roadworks. The permit's end date is 15/09/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 370 will divert in both directions via Broad Road. 

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

Due to resurfacing works on 17th, 18th and 19th September, Queensway W-bound between Birniehill and the Murray Roundabout will be closed each night between 20:00 and 06:00.

21 to East Kilbride will take normal route to Queensway at Birniehill Roundabout, exit onto Kingsway, Whitemoss Roundabout, Whitemoss Ave, Churchill Ave and continue to East Kilbride Bus Station.

On the 20th September, Meadowhall Drive will be closed for flood defence testing between 06:00 and 10:00.

18a & X3 will divert via Weedon Street & Meadowhall Road (under the bridge) in both directions.

207 will divert via Weedon Street (Ikea), Sheffield Road & Vulcan Way (inbound only).

Service 500 | M8 junction 28 West Bound closure

To allow for Motorway works on 15th September and 16th September - M8 J22-J23 West Bound will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00 each night to Glasgow Airport.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

To Glasgow Airport via the M8, exit J23, Broomloan Rd, Shieldhall Rd, Helen St, M8 J24 W-bound and back to normal route. 

Ongar Road, Writtle is closed for roadworks from 12/09/2026 to 22/09/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the C5 will divert in both directions via Lodge Road and Margaretting Road.
