Service 18 - Cort Crescent

From the 14th July - 25th August, 18 services will be on diversion due to a closure at Cort Crescent. Please see below for diversion details:

Outbound – From Hinckley Rd via Gooding Ave, Braunstone Ave & Hallam Crescent East, to continue normal route to Terminus.

Inbound – From Terminus as normal, then diverting around Cort Crescent via Woodshawe Rise Roundabout, and head back along Cort Braunstone Ave, Gooding Ave & Hinckley Road to continue normal route towards City Centre.

Link Road will be closed at the junction of Cropston Road for 1 day on July 22nd.

Services will diver from The Nook via Bradgate Road & Hollow Road.

From the 19th - 21st July, Gleneagles Avenue will be closed. Services will divert via the below:

Outbound - From Gypsy Lane via Catherine Street, Barkby Rd, Troon Way & Nicklaus Rd.

Inbound From Nicklaus Rd via Troon Way, Barkby Rd, Catherine St, & Gypsy Lane.

We're introducing fare changes from Sunday 14th July.

We regularly review our fares and ticket prices so we can continue to develop a sustainable bus network, keeping bus travel affordable and helping our customers as we mange rising costs and maintain investment.

Single tickets will remain capped at £2 as part of the Government’s Help for Households campaign a great value way to get you to where you need to be!

Changes from 14 July 

The £1.60 Adult Single Fare on Services 4, 13, 14, 14A, 15, 18, 25, 26, 38, 38A, 54, 88, 88A and 88E will now be £1.80.

The £1.80 Adult Single Fare on Services 13, 14, 14A, 16, 17, 21, 25, 26, 74, 88, 88A and 88E will now be £2.00.

From the 13th - 19th July, Evington Road / St. Stephens Road will be closed.

Outbound - From London Road, via Mayfield Roundabout, Mayfield Road, Beckingham Road & Evington Road

Inbound - Reverse of above.

Between 14th - 18th July, Saffron Lane will be closed between Cyprus Road and Fayrhurst Road.

Services will operate via the below diversion:

Outbound - Via The Fairway, Brookfield Rise / Windley Rd, Atlee Way,  Pork Pie Island & Glenhills Way.

Inbound – From Glenhills Way via Pork Pie roundabout, Atlee Way,  Windley Rd, Brookfield Rise / The Fairway & Saffron Lane.

From Sunday 14th July, we’re making changes to the following services for the duration of the Leicester School Summer Holidays.

The school holiday runs from 14 July until 25 August 2024.

Services 14 & 14A

Buses will operate every 7/8 minutes between the City Centre and Aikman Avenue during the day Mondays to Fridays. There are no changes to the Saturday or Sunday timetables. 

Service 15 

A new timetable across the entire week will be introduced to help keep buses to run on time.

Service 16 

There are no timing or frequency changes to the timetable. However, on journeys that serve Goodwood the timing point bus stop listed on the timetable will now be the “Greenacre Drive” stop on Ambassador Road rather than the “Gamel Road” bus stop on Goodwood Road.

Service 74

Buses will operate every 30 minutes during the day Mondays to Fridays.  There are no changes to the Saturday or Sunday timetables.

Services 88 & 88A

Buses will operate every 7/8 minutes between the City Centre and Saffron Lane during the day Mondays to Fridays.  There are no changes to the Saturday or Sunday timetables.
