The Carribean Carnival is due to take place on Saturday 5 August. There will be disruption to some services within the City Centre and London Road area, please allow extra time for your journey.
London Road is due to close between 12:45 & 4pm, during the closure services 15, 16, 17 & 88,88A will need to divert as follows;
Service 15
Towards Goodwood - upon leaving the usual departure stand, buses will divert via Humberstone Gate, St. Georges Way, Swain Street & East Park Road.
Towards City Centre - normal route to East Park Road then buses will divert via St. Peter's Road, St. Georges Way, St. Matthews Way, Belgrave Gate & Charles Street.
Service 16
Towards General Hospital - buses will depart from Stand CA on Charles Street, then buses will divert via Humberstone Gate, St. Georges Way & Swain Street.
Towards City Centre - normal route to St. Peter's Road then buses will divert via St. Georges Way, St. Matthews Way, Belgrave Gate & Charles Street.
Service 17
Towards Highfields - buses will depart from Stand HX in the Haymarket Bus Station and divert via Belgrave Gate, St. Matthews Way, St. Georges Way, Swain Street then back to normal route until Humberstone Road, St. Matthews Way, Belgrave Gate, Charles Street and into Haymarket Bus Station.
Service 88,88A
Towards Saffron Lane, buses will leave the Haymarket Bus Station as normal an divert via Belgrave Gate, Abbey Street, Burleys Way, under the Southgates Underpass, Newarke Street, Welford Road then back to normal route.
Towards City Centre, normal route to Oxford Street then buses will divert via Southgates Underpass, Church Gate, Gravel Street, Abbey Street, Charles Street and back into Haymarket Bus Station.
