Clock Change - End of British Summertime

At 02:00am on 27th October, the clocks go back by 1 hour to mark the end of British Summertime.

The Night services operating at this time will disregard the time change.

Paisley Halloween Event. Service 9.

To allow for an event on Friday 25th October and Saturday 26th October between 15:00hrs and 23:30hrs several streets will be closed. 
 
During the closure the following diversions will be in operation: 

Normal route until 15:00 then follow diversion between 15:00-23.30.

9 Service towards Paisley:
Normal route Glasgow Road at Incle Street, right Incle Street, left Weir Street, right Abercorn Street, right Niddry Street, right Renfrew Road, left Incle Street left onto Glasgow Road and terminate for next trip towards Glasgow.

Service 9 that terminates at Gauze Street:
Normal route Glasgow Road at Incle Street, right Incle Street, left Weir Street, drop off and normal out of service route towards the depot. 
 

From Sunday 3rd November, revised timetables will operate on the following services.

Service 201: Hairmyres - Petersburn

Service 240: Overtown - Buchanan Bus Station

Service 266: Hamilton Bus Station - Shotts/Newmains

Service 267: Hamilton Bus Station - Buchanan Bus Station

Minor adjustments will be made to services 241, 255 and 261. Service 18 City Centre terminus will move to Douglas Street.

Due to building works on Monday 28th October 2024 for 2 years Oswald Street bus Stop 60904 (Barrhead Travel) will be closed.

During the closure of the bus stop alternative stops will be used as follows:

Services 1 1A 1B 1C 1D 1E X4 use next stop Argyle Street at JP Morgan.

Services 9 9A 10 will use next stop 60908 Hope Street before Waterloo Street.

Services 2 3 4 4A will use their next available stop Hope Street at Bothwell Street.

Glenmore Avenue will be closed for Road Works on Saturday 26th October until Sunday 27th October.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 201 towards Hairmyres.

Diverting via Bankhead Avenue at Cairnlea Gardens, Bankhead Avenue, Motherwell Road then resuming normal route.

To allow for roadworks on Saturday 26th October until Sunday 27th October, Drumchapel Road at Garscadden Road will be closed.

Service 3 towards Drumchapel: Normal route Kinfauns Drive to 6A turning circle, turn at turning circle and turn right back along Kinfauns Drive, 1st exit at roundabout Garscadden Road, right Garscadden Road to terminus.

Service 3 towards Scotstoun: Depart terminus right Garscadden Road, left Garscadden Road, 3rd exit onto Kinfauns Drive, continue Kinfauns Drive and turn at 6A terminus and return Kinfauns Drive normal route.

To allow for road work on Saturday 26th October and Sunday 27th October, Muir Street Motherwell will be closed.

A temporary bus stop will be in place on Muir Street before Milton Street for Services 201 and 240.

During the closures, the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 201 towards Petersburn:

Normal route to Hamilton Road at West Hamilton Street then Menteith Road, Hope Street and Muir Street back to the normal route.

Service 240 towards Buchanan Bus Station:

Normal route to West Hamilton Street at Hamilton Road Roundabout return along West Hamilton Street then Menteith Road, Hope Street & Muir Street back to the normal route.

Service 240 terminating at Brandon Parade and returning in service to Buchanan Bus Station from Motherwell Station via West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road, Hope Street & Muir Street back to the normal route and starting from temporary stop.

Service 241 towards North Motherwell:

Normal route to West Hamilton Street then Hamilton Road, West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road & Pollock Street back to the normal route.

Service 241 terminating at Brandon Parade (Sunday only):

Normal route to West Hamilton Street then Hamilton Road, West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road, Pollock Street & Merry Street for the next journey from Brandon Parade.

Service 241 towards Cleland/Coltness:

Normal route to Hamilton Road then West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road & Pollock Street back to the normal route.

Service 242 towards Holytown:

Normal route to West Hamilton Street then Hamilton Road, West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road, Merry Street back to the normal route.

Service 254 towards Newarthill:

Normal route to West Hamilton Street then Hamilton Road, West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road & Merry Street back to the normal route.

Service 254 journeys that normally start at Motherwell Station will start at West Hamilton Street (South).

Service 254 towards Newarthill (Sunday only):

Services start from West Hamilton South then West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road & Merry Street back to the normal route.

Service 266 towards Shotts/Newmains:

Normal route to Hamilton Road, West Hamilton Street, Menteith Road & Pollock Street back to the normal route.

Due to Scottish Power works on Monday 21st October for up to 2 weeks, several bus stops will be closed on Burnbank Road.

This closure is to allow installation of Zebra Crossing on Burnbank Road near West Stewart Street.

Please use the following stops as an alternative: 

Towards Hamilton, there will be a temporary stop on Burnbank Road Opp Woodview Terrace.

Towards High Blantyre passengers will be directed to the next stop 615059, Newfield Crescent.

To allow for resurfacing works on Saturday 26th October until Sunday 27th October  Balmore Road will be closed between Ashgill Road and Skirsa Street.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 7,7A towards Summerston  

Normal route Balmore Road at Bilsland Drive left Bilsland Drive, right Maryhill Road, right Sandbank Street, right Thornton Street, left Cottar Street, right Glenburn Street, right Cadder Road, right Thornton Street, right Sandbank Street normal route.

Services 7,7A towards Rutherglen

Normal route Glenburn Street at Cadder Road, right Cadder Road, right Thornton Street, left Sandbank Street, left Maryhill Road, left Bilsland Drive, right Balmore Road normal route.

Service 8 towards QEUH

Normal route Ashgill Road at Balmore Road left Balmore Road, right Bilsland Drive, right Mayfield Street, left Ruchill Street, left Maryhill Road normal route.

Service 8 towards Parkhead

Normal route Maryhill Road at Ruchill Street right Ruchill Street, right Mayfield Street, left Bilsland Drive, left Balmore Road, right Ashgill Road normal route.

From Sunday 20th October, minor timetable adjustments will be in place on Service 38A/B/C.

Monday - Friday

38C from Chryston at 07:29 will depart a 07:19.

38C from City Centre at 08:15 will depart at 08:05.

West Regent Street will no longer be served by 38C.
