Diversion away from Glastonbury

The original diversion away from Glastonbury High Street for the Frost Fayre has been abandoned due to bad parking and buses being unable to get through.

Buses southbound on the 373, 374, 375 and 376 towards Street are running normal route as far as the Waggon & Horses pub stop, then diverting via Glastonbury by-pass and resuming normal route at the Wirral Park Roundabout stop by B&Q.

Buses northbound on the 373, 374, 375 and 376 towards Wells/Bristol are running normal route as far as the Wirral Park Roundabout stop by B&Q, then diverting via Glastonbury by-pass to resume normal route from the Waggon & Horses pub stop.

All stops in between (Drill Hall to Avalon Estate inclusive), including the centre of Glastonbury and the Windmill Hill area, are not able to be served. Apologies for the inconvenience this will cause.

We are expecting to resume normal route from 20.00 this evening. 

Road Closure-Stokes Croft (Northbound)-(17/70/73/74/75/76/77/AZ1)

Road Closure-Bishport Avenue-(75)

Due to the road closure at Bishport Avenue buses will be diverted to use route 76 Hareclive Rd route to Church road (indoor Skate park) then follow Grange Road onto Queens Road to pick up route at Four Acres.

This diversion will be in Both Directions until the works have been completed.

Regrettably Lampton Avenue, Hollisters Drive, Bishport Avenue, Crosscombe Drive, Fair Furlong and Newland Lane bus stops will not be served during the closure period and passengers are advised to pick up stops on Hareclive road.

Road Diversion-High Street, Worle-(6)

High St in Worle has Roadworks and as such causing severe delays to service 6 and service 7

Due to the severe disruption we have taken the decision to divert the service 6 to use Baytree Road and Locking Road to resume at Mead Vale missing out the High St.

Regrettably Annandale Avenue, Moor Lane, Oakdale gardens, the Maltings, Health Centre, Coronation Rd, Spring Hill Drive and Westbrook Road bus stops will not be served during the closure.

Passengers are advised D1 service will be serving one stop (Station Road in front of the station) for both directions so please check the bus destination to minimise confusion)

Emergency Road Closure - Down Road, Portishead - (X4)

29th October - 6th December 2024

Due to emergency roadworks as a result of a power cut in Down Road, service X4 is on diversion from Bristol into Portishead. After the Parish Walk stop (outside Waitrose), instead of using Portishead High Street, Combe Road, Avon Way, The Triangle and Down Road to Weatherly Drive and the Police HQ, buses will divert via the Cabstand, Nore Road, left into Down Road (part unaffected), right at the roundabout into Weatherly Drive to resume normal route down the hill at Weatherly Drive.

Regrettably The Precinct, Combe Road, Downside, Rippleside, Channel View Road, The Triangle, High Down Schools, Bruton Avenue and Merlin Park stops will not be served by buses from Bristol to the top of Portishead. Passengers who need Portishead top (Nore Rd/Down Road/Wetherly Drive) are advised to use Parish Wharf Stop near the Waitrose car park.

Buses heading towards Bristol will operate normal route from Weatherly Drive and the Police HQ, and the stops down the hill on Avon Way and at Combe Road and The Precinct will still be served in this direction.

Road Closure-Abson Rd, Abson Village-(SB6)

We have been informed that Abson Rd will be closed to traffic from the 11th of December and as such the St Brendans 6 bus will have to divert away from Bridgeyate and use the ring road and Shortwood Hill into Pucklechurch for the duration of the closure.

Regrettably Chesley Hill, Riding Barn Hill, Wick Church, Wick Primary School, Church Road, Mendip View, Naishcombe Hill, Abson Road and Fleur De Lys bus stops will not be served during the closure

Due to a Christmas Fayre, Portishead High St and Combe Rd (part) will be closed to traffic for the afternoon and as such buses will be diverted away to use The Cabstand, Nore Road and West Hill for normal route at Down Road.

Passengers using West Hill are reminded that the bus will travel along Down Rd, Nore Road into Portishead and not using Avon Way during the closure Period.

Given the location of the closures this will not effect buses 1/2/2a/3/4/77/Y6 stopping arrangements at this time as diversion will be Queens Rd and St Pauls Rd.

Service U1 Southbound only will Divert to use Alma Road and Queens Road and as such will not serve Belgrave Road stop.
