Tickets
Following the government’s announcement earlier this year that it was raising its fare cap from £2 to £3 in the new year, some of our fares are changing on Wednesday 1st January.
For those of you travelling on the Worcester city network the cost of an adult single fare will be £2.20 – 27% less than the government cap. For those travelling on the wider Worcester network the cost will be £3 for trips of two miles or more, or £2.20 for all other journeys.
We are also making changes to day and season ticket prices, and to child fares, of which information is available on our website.
Also, don’t forget our Tap On, Tap Off readers are the best and quickest way to pay for your bus travel. About half our customers use it in Worcester, and that number continues to grow. It’s really simple – you just tap the same bank card or device on an on-board payment reader when you get on and off the bus, and we’ll do the calculation for you, ensuring you get the best value fare each time you travel – including a cap on your daily and weekly costs. It really is the quickest and most cost-effective way to travel.
