Worcester City Run 10K/Half Marathon Diversions

We have several diversions due to Worcester City Run 10K/Half Marathon on Sunday 15 September 2024 between start of service and 1300. This means several key areas of Worcester are closed during this time.

Crowngate Bus Station, Sansome Street, Cathedral and Foregate Street bus stop will all be closed and not able to be served while the closures are in place.

SERVICE 30

This service will terminate at St John’s Library bus stop inbound to Worcester. It will then restart at Bull Ring bus stop, opposite Papa John’s Pizza towards Dines Gren. This will be until the Worcester Bridge reopens. Bull ring (towards Worcester City Centre) and Crowngate Bus Station will not be served during this closure.

SERVICE 35/38

These services will start/terminate at Lowesmoor. Crowngate Bus Station, St. Nicholas’ Street and Sansome Street will not be served during this closure.

SERVICE 144

This service will terminate at The Tything inbound towards Worcester. Leaving Worcester, the first bus stop served will be St. George’s Square. Crowngate Bus Station, Foregate Street, The Tything and Little London bus stops will not be served.

SERVICE X50

This service will start from Sidbury on London Road towards Pershore. Inbound to Worcester, this service will divert via Camp Hill Road, Timberdine Avenue and Bath Road to terminate in Sidbury. This is to allow the vehicle to be correctly facing to be able to operate the next journey.

32 Service - Bath Road

Route now open, and 32 services resuming regular runs.

Due to a police incident at Bath Road in Worcester, Service 32 will be diverted as detailed below.

~~From the City Centre buses will divert from Bath Road via Diglis Road, Diglis Lane and Greenway Drive before resuming normal route toward St. Peter's.~~

~~Buses will follow the outward diversion in reverse when returning to the city centre.~~

~~Stops at The Albion, The Hill Avenue and Cherry Street (outbound) will not be served for the duration of the closure, however stops at Diglis will be served as alternative stops.~~

Flooding Disruption

After yesterdays flooding disruption - all routes are now back open other than Waterside in Evesham on the X50.

Stops at Evesham Hospital and the Northwick hotel will not be served.

We are experiencing severe disruption to our network this morning due to localised flooding and subsequent road closures. The following services are the worse affected:

44/S43 - Due to a contraflow system on the A449 at Powick for surface water, service 44 is currently subject to delays in excess of 60 minutes.

54 - Eckington Bridge has been closed and the service will be following it's flood diversion.

310/311/313/314 - We are currently awaiting confirmation of the road status between Martley and Clifton-upon-Teme. Services are currently terminating at Martley, Housing Estate, until a suitable diversion has been determined.

417 - The A4103 is closed at Bransford Bridge. This service will divert from Leigh Sinton to Worcester via an alternative route. Rushwick will not be served.

S2 route change

The S2 route will be changing from Monday 18 November 2024 onwards. Click here for the timetable.

The route largely stays the same, all the way between Blessed Edward School and Copcut Elm, no changes will be noticed. However, we will be serving the Primsland Estate in the opposite direction.

Students must wait at the bus stop on the opposite side of the road to their usual stop. Every bus stop that we currently serve, including Tagwell Road, we will be stopping at the corresponding bus stop on the opposite side of the road, as per the map below.
