From Sunday 30th March, service changes will take place affecting the Cross Gates, Leeds area. The changes are due to the southbound closure of Station Road for bridge works, which will continue until November 2025.

    A summary of the changes can be found below, including maps of the diversions:

    9A - journeys towards White Rose

    Between Cross Gates roundabout and Skyliner roundabout, buses will run via Austhorpe Road, Austhorpe Lane, Whitkirk Lane and Ring Road Halton. 

    11A - journeys towards Seacroft

    This service will start from the bus stop on Cross Gates road (outside Mecca Bingo) instead of Station Road

    11A - journeys towards Cross Gates

    This service will terminate on Cross Gates Road (opposite Mecca Bingo) instead of Station Road.

    40 - journeys towards Seacroft

    This service will now start from Duncan Street (Corn Exchange H) and will no longer serve Boar Lane.

    40 - journeys towards Leeds

    Services will use the current route to Cross Gates, Austhorpe Road, then travel back along Austhorpe Road, Austhorpe Lane, Whitkirk Lane, and Ring Road Halton to resume the current route on Green Lane. In the city centre, buses will change route from York Street to run down Kirkgate, High Court, The Calls, Call Lane, Lower Briggate and Duncan Street, terminating at Corn Exchange H. The timetable will be updated due to the route changes.

    64 - journeys towards Aberford This service will start from the bus stop on Cross Gates road (outside Mecca Bingo) instead of Station Road
    64 - journeys towards Cross Gates This service will terminate on Cross Gates Road (opposite Mecca Bingo) instead of Station Road.
