Woodbastwick Road, Blofield Heath

Due to gas works taking place on Grove Road by the bus gate, the road will be closed from Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July continuously.

During this time, service 36B/38 will operate via Ipswich Road and along the full length of Cecil Road, omitting Trafford Road entirely.
Service 39 will continue down Hall Road to the junction with Queens Road, omitting Southwell Road entirely.

Passengers are encouraged to use nearby alternative stops where possible.

Due to the Lord Mayors Celebration taking place on Saturday 13th July, primarily affecting our services at Rampant Horse Street (all day) & Tombland (14:00 to 18:00) - services through these points will need to take diversion routes.

No services will be able to serve stops on Rampant Horse Street all day - please use Castle Meadow for Orange & Red Line services.

Between 14:00 & 18:00, no services will be able to serve Upper King Street, Tombland, Anglia Square or Edward Street stops, affecting Pink, Purple, Turquoise, Orange & Yellow Line services. Yellow Line services towards the city during this time will operate directly from Drayton Road to St Stephens Street - any passengers for Castle Meadow please remain on the bus onto its next journey.

Service 30 will need to operate into/out of the city centre through St Stephens Street & Chapelfield Road all day.

All services not listed are expected to operate as normal, though may be subject to delays due to congestion and increased passenger levels.

Earsham Street/Market Place Bungay will be closed 0645hrs to 1800hrs Sunday 7th July 2024. to allow Bungay Summer Market to take place. 

Buses towards Norwich will therefore be diverted out of Bungay via Hillside Road West to Homersfield and then back down the A143 to pick up their line of route at Ditchingham. 

Services from Norwich are unaffected.

Cottinghams Drive in Hellesdon will be closed on Thursday 4th July & Friday 5th July for resurfacing.

Service 37/37B will operate via Gowing Road, meaning that the Bernham Road stop (on Reepham Road) will not be served by this service.

Service 36/36A/36B will continue to serve that stop as an alternative.

Due to delayed surface dressing work, the A1067 will be closed between Lenwade & Bawdeswell from 20:00 onwards on Monday 8th July, Monday 15th July & Tuesday 23rd July.

We have no safe, approved diversion routes to use to avoid this closure within the timetable of this service, so services will unfortunately need to be curtailed along the route to avoid the closure.

The last bus between Norwich & Fakenham will be 18:00 from St Stephens Street.
The last bus between Norwich & Bawdeswell (on request) will be 19:20 from St Stephens Street.
The last bus between Norwich & Taverham will continue to be the 22:50 from St Stephens Street.

The last bus between Fakenham & Norwich will be the 19:25 from Oak Street.
The last bus between Taverham & Norwich will be 21:19, starting from Beech Avenue.

From Wednesday 3rd July to Saturday 6th July, surface dressing prep works will be taking place on Colney Lane between the Hospital roundabout & B1108 junction in that direction only.

For the duration of these works, both stops at Norwich Research Park will be suspended - passengers here are advised to walk to the Plaza to complete their journeys.

Services from the Plaza will operate via the back entrance & Hethersett Lane to rejoin normal routes.

Bridge Street Beccles will be closed between 0800hrs & 1700hrs Monday 8th July 2024 for Bridge Inspection works.

Journeys from Lowestoft will be diverted from Northgate right Bridge Street, left Ravensmere, Common Lane North, left George Westwood Way and left A146 to line of route. 

Journeys from Norwich will be diverted by  staying on A146 to Morrisons roundabout and turn right on to George Westwood Way. Turn right again onto Common Lane at Lidl (becomes Pound Road) and continue into Ravensmere and Newgate for the Tesco stop and resume usual route.

Gillingham will not be served during closures

Chapel Road Bucklesham will be closed on Wednesday 10th July 2024 , between 0930hrs & 1530hrs, to allow BT Openreach to install a new telegraph pole. 

Service 73 will therefore have to divert via Innocence Lane and Brightwell Road during this time.

Garrison Lane Felixstowe will be closed for Major Sewer Works from Monday 10th June 2024 to Monday 1st July 2024 

Service 73 & 978 will therefore be unable to use Garrison Lane and will have to divert via High Road West in both directions. This means that the service will unfortunately be unable to call at Orwell Road or Hamilton Road. Passengers at these locations can board the 75 service to catch the 73 at High Road West.

THIS CLOSURE HAS ENDED EARLY. SERVICES ARE BACK TO NORMAL ROUTE.

Due to the installation of a new zebra crossing on Back Lane in Hethersett, our Pink & Green Line services will need to take a diversion route from Tuesday 28th May to Tuesday 30th July.

Both services from Norwich will operate their normal routes along Coachmaker Way & Churchfields, but will merge onto Coachmaker Way past the school & Co-op, then down Little Melton Road onto normal route into Hethersett.
