Effective12/10/2022 - 14/12/2022
With the re-opening of the bridge between The Pulhams and Starston our Purple Line 36A service have now resumed services to and from The Pulhams
This does however mean that due to the works within Harleston town centre we will be unable to serve Broad Street. All 36A services will revert to operating the full route until opposite the school in Wilderness Lane where all journeys will terminate. Buses will then turn and operate journeys towards Norwich from the stop on the other side.
This diversion will remain in place until further notice. We are advised that a further closure of the bridge will be required in the coming weeks which will require a further revision of this route. We will endeavour to keep all customers informed in advance.
We apologise for this disruption to your journeys with us.
Travel Alerts
***Castle Meadow, Norwich*** (All Norwich Services)
Due to urgent replacement required of a BT chamber on Castle Meadow, the road will be closed from 19:00 on Friday 14th February until the end of service on Friday 21st February. This closure has been previously scheduled to take place in the October half-term, but was postponed due to other emergency works in the city centre.
During this time, all services will be unable to call at Castle Meadow - and will instead use their normal stands at alternative city centre stops.
For Pink, Turquoise, Green, Yellow, Purple & Charcoal Line services, plus services 31 & 33 - please use stops on St Stephens Street.
For Orange & Red Line services, plus service 30 - please use stops on Theatre Street/Rampant Horse Street.
For Blue Line services - please use the stops at Red Lion Street as normal, these will still be served as normal.
Please expect delays on all services across the city during the closure, due to the length of the diversion routes involved in avoiding this closure.
Most westbound services (excluding Blue Line) will operate via Ber Street, Queens Road & Surrey Street.
Most eastbound services will operate via Farmers Avenue.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey.
City Road (31/Charcoal 40)
Due to works taking place on Bracondale from Monday 27th January to Wednesday 29th January, our 31 & Charcoal Line 40 services won't be able to serve City Road.
Service 31 will operate via Hall Road, serving all stops to allow passengers to connect with the service.
Service 40 will operate the old route via Bracondale & Martineau Lane, with customers advised to cut through to Hall Road to travel on service 39.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey.
High Road, Trimley (75/77/975/978/O2)
Due to utility works & carriageway resurfacing (associated with the Bellway Homes development at Kingsfleet Park) taking place on High Road in the Trimleys from Monday 20th January to Friday 31st January - the road will be closed.
This will affect our public service 73, 75 & 77 routes, as well as school/college services 975, 978 & O2. Suffolk County Council will however be funding a shuttle bus service to cover the affected section of route during the main part of the day. Unfortunately the shuttle will not operate in the evening.
----------
Service 73 will continue to serve the bus shelters on Howlett Way, but will then operate via the A14 & Garrison Lane to rejoin normal route at the High Road junction.
Service 73 operating at Felixstowe Academy start/end times will continue to serve the Academy grounds.
Service 75/77 will operate via High Road through Trimley St Martin, but will then serve the bus shelters on Howlett Way before operating the above diversion route.
----------
Service 975 will follow the 75/77 diversion route, meaning that any passengers at Walton will need to board at Great Eastern Square. Any passengers in the Trimleys should head to Howlett Way.
Service 978 will also follow the 75/77 diversion route - however the shuttle bus detailed below will connect to allow any passengers from Trimleys or Walton to connect onto the school services at Great Eastern Square, alternatively passengers can also board at Howlett Way.
----------
Suffolk One service O2 will be split into two services, as detailed below.
Pickup times from Trimley & Walton will be altered, however all other pickup times will remain the same.
Afternoon services will operate in the same fashion, with one bus serving Felixstowe & Grange Farm and the other serving Felixstowe & Trimleys
