Essex Yeomanry Way / Southend Road, Chelmsford is closed for overnight roadworks from 10/08/2026 to 18/08/2026.
*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed nightly between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs*
Due to the location of the roadworks - the 3 / X10 / X30 will be placed on diversion:

The 3 will divert in both directions via Baddow Road, Tabors Hill and Maldon Road.
*All bus stops served - however, there will likely be delays to journeys*
Due to the closure of Sandford Road near Weston Road, services are diverting as follows :
The services are diverting via Greenfield Lane, Balby Road / Hall Flat Lane & Cross Street, resuming the normal route at the junction of Sandford Road & Weston Road.
Ben Lane has been closed by Yorkshire Water at Hallowmoor Road.

Sutton Road will be closed at the junction of Doncaster Road (Dario’s Restaurant).
Service 9
On the 13th August roadworks will take place in Wych Lane between the A32 and Tukes Avenue between 09:00 - 18:00.
Service 9 will divert away from this area and will not be able to serve stops alone Tukes Avenue.
The diversion will be Palmeston Drive, A32, Cunningham Drive, Gregson Avenue and Brookers Lane in both directions.

Hamlet Drive, Greenstead is closed for roadworks from 06/08/2026 to 08/08/2026.
*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed nightly between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs*
Due to the location of the road closure - the 54 will divert via Hawthorne Avenue (after serving Greenstead Library).
The following bus stops will not be served:

Excel services will be unable to serve Narborough in either direction until further notice
Victoria Park Area will be closed Overnight between 19:00-06:00 on 20th until 22nd August (3 nights). This will affect services 4, 19, 21, 39, X39 & A4.
Services towards Bath City Centre will operate normal route to Windsor Villas where they will divert via Windsor Bridge Road,Lower Bristol Road and Midland Bridge Road. Resuming normal route at James Street West.
The following stops will be unable to be served: Lower Weston Park Lane to Nile Street incl.
Please use either Windsor Villas or James Street West stops instead.
