U2 FROM BRISTOL: NORMAL ROUTE TO LANGFORD VET COLLEGE. Then leaving Langford vets turn right onto stock lane, follow this road until you get to congsbury traffic lights . At lights turn left onto A370, At motorway roundabout 2nd exit to stay on A370. Next roundabout 2nd exit to continue along A370. At next roundabout take 1st exit onto locking moor road, next roundabout take 2nd exit onto the runway and continue normal route.

UPDATED : 9 July : PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL HAVE TOLD US TO EXPECT HIGHLAND ROAD TO OPEN ON THURSDAY MORNING 9 JULY
Due to Glasgow Boyne Parade on Saturday 4th July from 05:00 until completion several roads will be closed at different times.
During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:
Between the 29th June and the 3rd July OVERNIGHT closure at Hilsea southbound on the service 8 between 9pm to 6am.
The diversion will be direct down London Road from Hilsea to North End, then Kingston Crescent and back on normal route.
All stops on the diversion will be served.
These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Outbound - At Sprakes corner bus to turn left onto the A35 continue to Crown Roundabout take the 5th Exit and follow A35 to London Inn and resume Normal Route
Inbound – Unaffected
Bambury Street Closed :
Bambury Street in Adderley Green has been closed for roadworks. The buses are diverting outbound via Anchor Road, Heathcote Street, Longley Road, Inbound the same in reverse. There will be no service on Bambury Street or Galsworthy Road until further notice.
Far lane temp lights stuck on red.
Due to the position of the works and parked cars we are going to divert.
Outbound services to operate via Doncaster Road, Mowbray Street, Herringthorpe Valley Road picking normal outbound route.
Inbound services To operate Via Ridgeway, Herringthorpe Valley Road, Mowbray Street and Doncaster road picking up normal service route from Far lane top.
*Update added 03/08/2026* The road closure permit has been extended and will no longer end 19/07/2026.
Hythe Station Road, Colchester is closed for roadworks. The permit's end date is 12 Aug 23:59 BST.
Due to the location of the roadworks - the 54 will divert in both directions via Hythe Quay, Colne Causeway, Eastern Approach and Elmstead Road.
The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:
Temporary Route Diversion. Route 9, Rowner Lane.
