First South Yorkshire today announced an investment in new ticketing technology to help simplify how customers pay for travel. Fitting of tap-off readers across the fleet is now underway and will enable the bus operator to introduce a Tap-On Tap-Off system from this Spring.

Broad Quay will be closed to various services between 09:00 and 16:00 on Sunday 5th February to facilitate carriageway works.

Services 6, 7, 36, 42, 43, 44 and 45 that normally terminate and commence from Broad Quay, will terminate and commence from Rupert Street bus stops B4 and B6 and resume normal routes from Nelson Street.

Passengers are advised to board or alight at Rupert Street.

Both the Maypole bus stops on either side of the road on the High Street in Hanham will be closed to service 17 and 45 between 09:30 and 15:00 on Tuesday 31st January to facilitate carriageway works.

There will be no temporary bus stops positioned during this closure and passengers are advised to use the bus stops prior or after the closed ones.

Service 17 Church Road or Chapel Road.

Service 45 Martins Road.

Diversion towards South Woodham Ferrers - From Hullbridge Road left  into King Edwards Road, right into Hamberts Road, at the roundabout take 3rd exit into Ferrers Road, at next roundabout take 2nd exit stay on Ferrers Road, at next roundabout 1st exit into Inchbonie Road and return to line of route to Asda Merchant Street.

Due to bus stop shelter removal, the above stop will be closed from:
