Eastern Road in Portsmouth is closed for Water Works. This is having an impact on all other routes in and out of Portsmouth.
There are delays to services 1, 2, 3, x4, x5, 7 & 8 of up to 30 minutes. We are trying to run a normal service as possible.

Services 16 & X4 to divert as below

X4 to City / 16 to the terminus
Normal route to Avenel Road, diverting left in to Wyvil Ave, right in to Rotherwood Ave, to reach normal route.

Halstead Road, Fordstreet is closed for roadworks from 07/01/2026 - 10/01/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 88, 88A and 88B services will divert in both directions via the A12, A120 and the B1024. The following bus stop will not be served in both directions:

Due to the emergency closure of Newport Road in Stafford. Services are diverting as follows:

To Stafford - Normal Route

To Hanley via Newport Road, Station Road, Tenterbanks, South Walls, Cope Street, normal route.

Services are back to normal after earlier disruption

Due to ice at Penilee Terminus, services will divert as follows: 

To Penilee via Bowfield Drive, Bowfield Crescent and terminate across from the terminus.

To Braehead, the normal route, omitting the turning circle.

Cross Lane, Old Farnley - closed due to road works on the roundabout. 

Services to divert as below:

To Old Farnley divert via Butt Lane, Cross Lane, Stonebridge Lane, Ring Road, Whincover Drive, and Butterbowl Drive.

To Leeds Park Row via Butterbowl Drive, Whincover Drive, Ring Road, Stonebridge Lane, Cross Lane, Butt Lane.

Nether Hall Road is closed for roadworks.

Services are using Market Road & Church Way outbound, Church Way and Grey Friars Road inbound.

To allow for footway resurfacing, from Tuesday 13th January until Friday 16th January, Bankhead Avenue at the junction of Motherwell Road will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation:

Towards Hairmyres via Motherwell Road, Glenmore Avenue, Coniston Drive, Bankhead Avenue, normal route.
 

Service 241, 242, 266 & X11

Due to works at Bellziehill Roundabout, services are experiencing delays up to 40 minutes. 

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Due to roadworks on Mercery Road, services will divert. 

Outbound via Dorchester Road, Weymouth Relief Road, Veasta Roundabout, Park & Ride,  normal route.   

Inbound: Same as the outbound journey but in reverse.  

We will not be able to serve Mount Pleasant, Sainsbury's in both directions.
