Due to this closure, the following diversion is in place:

The Brentwood Half Marathon returns on Sunday 22nd March 2026.
Whilst the event is in progress - traffic management will be enforced to ensure the safety of race participants:
SHORT TRAFFIC HOLDS:
There will be short traffic holds, to allow race participants to safely cross the road.
The following roads will have short traffic holds:
- Shenfield Road
- Ongar Road
- Doddinghurst Road
ROAD CLOSURE(S):
Due to an accident at Barton Gardens Sherborne, buses are diverting via Sherborne Castle to and from Greenhill.
Due to an incident on King George V Bridge, the following diversion will be in place:
9, 9A, 10: Tradeston Street, Cook Street, M8 Eastbound & Bothwell Street.
All other services: Cumberland Street, Laurieston Road, Crown Street, Clyde Street, Stockwell Street, Stockwell Place, Jamaica Street & Midland Street.
