Due to an accident at West Huntspill, service 21/21A faced delays through to 17:00. Route now open, but the following service was unable to operate

Bristol Light Festival is returning for 10 nights from 19 – 28 February 2026.

The festival features captivating, light-based artworks that will illuminate Bristol’s city centre in February 2026, with the first four nights coinciding with the February half-term. Known for transforming the city into a magical outdoor gallery, the festival attracts thousands of visitors each year to experience an unforgettable mix of art and light.

Due to an Road traffic collision on Lyme Road, buses will have to divert.

Towards Axminster
Diverting via Hunters Lodge, A35, A358 Musbury, Musbury Road, King Edward Road and turn left into the station.

From Axminster
Diverting via King Edward Road, Musbury Road, A35, to resume normal route at Hunters Lodge.

Services diverting as below:

R8 bus stop on Bristol Bridge heading towards Broadmead / Bristol City Centre will be closed to services 1, 2, 2a, 39, 72, 172, 349, 374, 375, 376, 376a, 522 and X39 from Tuesday 17th February and will remain fully closed for an estimated two months to facilitate further carriageway works along Victoria Street.

Passengers are advised to board or alight at the Wine Street bus stop at the top of Union Street on the opposite side of the road to Castle Park. Services 1, 2, 2a and 72 that don't usually stop here, will temporarily use this stop for the duration of the closure. 

Aberkenfig is facing extensive road works over the next week.

70/71 Services from Bridgend to Cymmer will be uneffected as the road is following a one way system

70/71 Services Cymmer to Bridgend will be operating through Aberkenfig but on the opposite side of the road due to this one way system.
