Diversion as follows, until further notice

Visit Essex’s principal purpose is to work in partnership with the public and private sector businesses to support economic growth, through promotion and tourism development.  

Due to road works on Friday 11th October at 20:00 until Saturday 12th October at 06:00, the M80 J1 towards M8 West Bound will be closed.

Services towards the city will be diverted as follows:

Provan Road, Cumbernauld Road, Alexandra Parade, Castle Street, Cathedral Street and then the normal route.

The bus stop southbound on Baffins Road called Langstone Road will be closed on the 7th & 8th October for essential Utility works. Please use the next stop at St Mary's Hospital. This affects the service 2 towards the City Centre. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There will be an OVERNIGHT closure Eastbound on Winston Churchill Avenue on the 17th October 2024 between 7pm and 5am. This will affect one stop only called Prince Albert Road. Service 1 will divert in one direction only from The Shephards Crook lights, it will divert left onto Priory Road and then right onto Milton Road, then back on normal route. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.

Overnight closure of Manchester Road between the hours of 20:00 - 05:00. Below Services will be diverting.

Inbound via Senior Way,Little Horton Lane,Clarges Street, Ransdale Road, Manchester Road.

Outbound via Ransdale Road, Clarges Street, Little Horton Lane, Senior Way. 

Overnight road works will take place at the whole of the Unicorn junction Portsmouth for, between 2 and 5 nights depending on how much work is involved. This junction will be closed off  between the 7th and 11th October for all traffic each night between 8pm and 6am. All First services will divert via Holbrook Road, Winston Churchill Avenue, Cambridge Road, Gunwharf and the Hard in both directions. We will not be able to serve Commercial Road (City Centre South) Queens Street or the Civic Offices during these times.

75 & 75a Services – Until further notice

Batemoor Road remains closed due to an ongoing police incident.

Services from Jordanthorpe terminus to turn left onto Dyche Lane, turn around at the roundabout then back to Dyche Lane without serving Batemoor.

18a, 76, 76a, 76e, X1 & X2 Services – now normal route on Meadowhall Road
