Victoria Road, Chelmsford is closed for daily roadworks from 16/02/2026 - 26/02/2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed daily between 07:00hrs and 19:00hrs*

Due to the location of the road closure, the 47 will divert in both directions via High Bridge Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

207 Services - Monday 2nd until Friday 6th February (2000-0500) each night – UPDATED

Moorgate Road will be closed between Brunswick Road and Sitwell Vale.

Services will be unable to serve Rotherham Hospital.

Services will divert in both directions via Broom Lane, Broom Road, Clifton Lane & Rotherham Interchange.

81, 82 & 272 Services - 9th - 11th of February 2026 

Ecclesall Road will be closed in one direction from Psalter Lane to Hunters Bar roundabout (2000-0500) overnight.

In addition, High Stores Road will be closed in both directions (1900-0600) overnight.

THE FOLLOWING DIVERSION WILL BE IN PLACE:

81 & 272 INBOUND 

Services will divert via Psalter Lane, Cowlishaw Road, Junction Road to Hunters Bar Roundabout (2000-0500).

Temporary Stop Closure, Routes E1 and E2. BRT, The Leisure Centre towards Fareham.
Thursday 5th February until flooding has been cleared.

Prince Street and The Grove will be closed overnight in both directions to various services between 21:00 and 05:00 on Monday 9th February to facilitate carriageway repair works.

Services will be diverted in both directions and the only bus stops that will be missed are the Queen Square Q1 and Q2  on Prince Street and passengers for the A1 and m1 heading towards the Centre are advised to board or alight at bus stop C6 on Broad Quay. Passengers for service 24 are advised to board or alight at the R11 bus stop on Baldwin Street by the church.

From Monday 23 February 2026, we will be making permanent changes to services 71 and 63 in the Bridgend area to improve local accessibility and provide better direct links to key destinations.
