Following a recent retendering exercise by Essex County Council, routes 32 and 565 will be run by different operators from 31st July 2023.

The 32 between Chelmsford and Ongar will be run by Stephensons of Essex. The section of route between Chignal Estate and Chelmsford will no longer run.

The 565 between Brentwood, Herongate, West Horndon and Bulphan will be run by NIBS Buses.

Service 200

Abbotts Drive will be closed on Thursday 27th July and Friday 28th July between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.

Toward Grays

After serving Corringham town centre, buses will divert via The Sorrells onto Springhouse, Southend road picking up service at Scratton Road stop.

Toward Basildon

Service 300

Wash Road will be closed on Friday 28th July until Saturday 5th August and Barleylands Road will be closed on Tuesday 1st August until Thursday 10th August between the hours of 20:00-05:00.

Derwent Road (Highwoods) Closure

28th July 2023, 20:00 - 06:00

Diversion Route: 

S1/68 Towards Highwoods: After serving Brinkley Lane, the bus will continue ahead at the roundabout, staying on Brinkley Lane. The bus will then turn into Highclere Road, then into Highwoods Square and follow the line of route. 

Knox Road bus stop in Twyford Avenue, northbound, will be closed between the 31 July and 11 August for road works. Please use an alternative stop during these times. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works.

Service S1 / S2 / 68 / 2A

Highwood Square Roundabout Closure

31st July until 1st August, 20:00 - 06:00

Diversion Route: 

S1/S2/68 towards Highwoods: After serving Derwent Road, the bus will turn left toward Rovers Tye pub. After waiting for the correct time to leave, the bus will return to Derwent Road and follow the normal line of route. 

Service S1/S2/68/2A

Highwoods Tesco roundabout (main entrance) is closed on Sunday 30th July and Sunday 6th August  between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00hrs.

S1/S2/68 Towards Highwoods:

Between the 26 and 28 July the bus stop outside HMS Nelson, West bound (towards the Hard) will be closed. This is for road works. There is no space for a temporary stop at this location. Please use the stop at Curzon Howe Road. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Between the 24 and 26 July the stop for service 22 at Cosham Interchange will be closed (stand A). Please use stop B or C during this closure. In effect passengers only need to cross to the other side of the Interchange. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
