Proposed Changes to the 590, 591 & 592

We are proposing changes to bus services 590, 591 and 592, which run from Halifax to Todmorden and then on to Rochdale and Burnley. These changes are scheduled to take effect on 1 September 2024.
Consultation Period
The consultation period will begin on 5 July at 13:00 and will end at 13:00 on 15 July. We will review all responses and submit our final proposal to the local authorities on 19 July.
Reasons for Changes
The proposed changes aim to:
- Simplify the network
- Improve punctuality and reliability
- Better match demand along the routes
Summary of Changes
- Service 591: This service will be withdrawn and replaced with an additional 592 journeys.
- Frequency adjustments: Frequencies at certain times will be decreased.
- Service hours: Services will not run as late in the evening on some days.
- Route changes: Red Lees Road in Cliviger will no longer be served. All journeys will run along Burnley Road, Park Road and Mount Lane.
