500 - Waterloo Street

Waterloo Street on slip to M8 closure.

Service 500.

Due to road works on Friday 7th February 20:00 until Saturday 8th February 06:00 Waterloo Street on slip will be closed.

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation:

Service 500 towards Airport.

Normal route Waterloo Street, right Pitt Street, left St Vincent Street, left Newton Street to re-join M8.

M80 J1 towards M8 West Bound to City.

Due to road works on Wednesday 5th February and Thursday 6th February the M80 J1 towards M8 West Bound will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00 each night.

During the closure the following diversion will be in operation:

Express Services normal route M80 J1 take off slip then left Provan Road, right Cumbernauld Road, continue Alexandra Parade, left Castle Street, right Cathedral Street normal route.

Boydstone Road service 57A.

To allow for Bridge Works on Saturday 1st February 07:00 until Sunday 2nd February 10:00 Boydstone Road at Thornliebank Road will be closed.

Also closed on Sunday 2nd February 15:00 until Monday 3rd February 10:00.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 57A towards Kennishead.
Normal route Orchard Park Avenue left Main Street Thornliebank, right Eastwood Crescent, left Lochiel Road, Carnwadric Road normal route.

Service 57A towards City.
Normal route Carnwadric Road at Crebar Street continue Carnwadric Road onto Lochiel Road, right Kennishead Road, left Main Street, right Orchard Park Avenue normal diversion route towards City.
 

Services 6A,19,38,38A,38B,38C,38E,41,57,57A, 500 - Nelson Mandela South Side

To allow for Crane works on Sunday 2nd February 22:00 until Monday 06:00 Nelson Mandela South Side will be closed and all services will use Nelson Mandela North Side towards George Square.

Service Disruption

Due to major roadworks on Gateside Street, Hamilton, from Monday 13th January for 9 weeks, disruption is expected on Services 226 & 229 and some bus stops will be closed.

Passengers are advised to plan their journey in advance.

Hope Street Bus Stop Closures
 

From Monday 6th January for approximately 8 weeks, Hope Street will be reduced to one lane between West George Street and West Regent Street. 
 

The following bus stops will be closed:

Passengers are directed to use the next alternative stops: 

• Services 3, 4, 4A, 18: use Bath Street
   
• Services 6, 6a: use Hope St at Theatre Royal
   
• Services 7, 7A, 75: use Hope St at Savoy Centre
   
• Services 60, 60a, 61: use Hope St at Watt Brothers
   
• Services 9, 9A, X8 ONLY: Use the first bus stop at Watt Brothers to drop off/pick up.

Springburn link Road/Baird Street towards Springburn Road, Service 87, 88, 88A, 88C, 89, 89A, 89B, 90.

To allow for Gas Works on Monday 6th January 09:00 until FURTHER NOTICE the Springburn link Road from Baird Street towards Springburn will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 87/88/88A/88C/89/89A/89B, from Buchanan Bus Station towards Springburn Road.

From Killermont Street, right North Hanover Street, left Cathedral Street, veer left Stirling Road continue onto Springburn Expressway normal route.

Service 90 towards Partick.

Normal route Alexandra Parade continue straight onto Castle Street take outside lane and turn right follow signs for Townhead A803 continue onto Springburn Expressway normal route.

Services 60 60A 61 & M3 Phoenix Road To allow for works, on Saturday 22nd July until August 2025

Phoenix Road will fully close.

Services 60,60A & 61 towards Parkhead Will divert St Georges Place, left St Georges Road right Garscube Road normal route.

Services 60,60A & 61 towards Maryhill Will divert Garscube Road, left St Georges Road, right St Georges Place, right Maryhill Road normal route.

Service M3 towards City Centre Will divert Garscube Road.

Service M3 towards Milton Will divert Garscube Road.
