500 - M8 J27-26

Due to major roadworks on West Hamilton Street, Motherwell, from Friday 17th January until works are complete, some services will operate a diversion due to delays.

Bus stops on West Hamilton Street and Motherwell ASDA will unfortunately not be served.

M8 J27-26 East Bound Closure - Service 500                                                 

To allow for Motorway works on Sunday 19th January until Tuesday 21st January the M8 J27-26 will be closed between 20:00 and 06:00 each night.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 500 towards City.

Diverting via J27 Renfrew Road, Paisley Road, Glebe Street, Glasgow Road, Old Govan Road, M8 onto normal route.

Bridgegate/Howard Street.                                                                                                         

To allow for works on Tuesday 21st January and Wednesday 22nd January Bridgegate and Howard Street will be closed between 22:00 and 06:00 each night.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D towards Osborne Street.

During the closure, services will terminate at Stockwell Street then start the next trip via Stockwell Place and onto normal route.

Service 5 towards Osborne Street.

Diverting via Stockwell Street, Glassford Street, Ingram Street, Montrose Street, Cochrane Street, South Frederick Street, Ingram Street, Glassford Street, Stockwell Street and onto normal route.

Service Disruption

Due to major roadworks on Gateside Street, Hamilton, from Monday 13th January for 9 weeks, disruption is expected on Services 226 & 229 and some bus stops will be closed.

Passengers are advised to plan their journey in advance.

Service U1 - Hillhouse Road                                                                                                              

To allow for Road Works on Friday 17th January Hillhouse Road towards Technology Avenue will be closed between 09:30 and 15:30.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Service U1 towards Technology Avenue.

Diverting via: Hillhouse Road at Technology Avenue, Hillhouse Road, Technology Avenue then onto normal route.

Hope Street Bus Stop Closures
 

From Monday 6th January for approximately 8 weeks, Hope Street will be reduced to one lane between West George Street and West Regent Street. 
 

The following bus stops will be closed: 
 

• St Vincent Street (after)
  Stop code: 609010
  Services that used this stop: 60, 60a, 61 
   
• West Regent Lane (before)
  Stop code: 609012
  Services that used this stop: 6, 6A, 7, 7A, 75
   
• West Regent Street (before)
  Stop code: 609013
  Services that used this stop: 3, 4, 4A, 9, 9A, 18, X8

Passengers are directed to use the next alternative stops: 

• Services 3, 4, 4A, 18: use Bath Street
   
• Services 6, 6a: use Hope St at Theatre Royal
   
• Services 7, 7A, 75: use Hope St at Savoy Centre
   
• Services 60, 60a, 61: use Hope St at Watt Brothers
   
• Services 9, 9A, X8 ONLY: Use the first bus stop at Watt Brothers to drop off/pick up.

To allow for resurfacing works, Annsfield Road will be closed.

Between 7th January - 17th January. 

Services affected: 226 & N267

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 226 & N267, towards Meikle Earnock Road:
Normal route to Low Waters Road at roundabout, turning via Mill Road, Millgate Road, Neilsland Square and Neilsland Road to resume normal route. 

Service 226 towards Hamilton:
Normal route to Meikle Earnock Road then via Neilsland Road, Neilsland Square, Millgate Road, Mill Road, Low Waters Road to resume normal route. 
 

Springburn link Road/Baird Street towards Springburn Road, Service 87, 88, 88A, 88C, 89, 89A, 89B, 90.

To allow for Gas Works on Monday 6th January 09:00 until Sunday 2nd February 17:00 the Springburn link Road from Baird Street towards Springburn will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Services 87/88/88A/88C/89/89A/89B, from Buchanan Bus Station towards Springburn Road.

From Killermont Street, right North Hanover Street, left Cathedral Street, veer left Stirling Road continue onto Springburn Expressway normal route.

Service 90 towards Partick.

Normal route Alexandra Parade continue straight onto Castle Street take outside lane and turn right follow signs for Townhead A803 continue onto Springburn Expressway normal route.

Bankhead Road, Service 7A.

To allow for gas works on Monday 6th January until Sunday 2nd February Bankhead Road will close.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 7A towards Rutherglen/Westburn.

Normal route Kings Park Avenue at Bankhead Road continue Kings Park Avenue, left Mill Street normal route.

Service 7A towards City Centre.

Normal route Mill Street at Bankhead Road continue Mill Street, right Kings Park Avenue normal route.

Normal route Kings Park Avenue at Bankhead Road continue Kings Park Avenue, left Mill Street, drop off remaining passengers then run empty via right Rutherglen Main Street, left Caledonia Avenue (7 terminus) left King Street, left Farmloan Road, right Main Street, left Mill Road and sit at 1st layby. then Mill Street at Bankhead Road continue Mill Street, right Kings Park Avenue normal route.
