This October half term, enjoy a week filled with spook-tastic daytime activities suitable for children of all ages, from creating crafts at the Witches’ Coven to practicing your scaring skills as a monster at St Anway’s Scare School!
Museum of Power – Halloween @ the Museum (30th Oct – 3rd Nov)

Take part in activities including arts, crafts and other spooky activities to sink your teeth into! The miniature railway will be running on 31st Oct and 3rd Nov exclusively, so don’t miss out.
Southend Halloween Parade (26th Oct)

Southend Halloween Parade returns to the seafront! Join in for a free evening of music, dancing, amazing costumes and huge light up puppets.
Barleylands – Halloween Festival (21st – 29th Oct)

This year, there are lots of fun activities planned for a hauntingly good half-term, including singing, dancing and a spellbinding story time with Witch and Cat. There will also be pumpkin decorating – your little ones can pick a pumpkin from our paddock to decorate, ready for Halloween! There will be a spooky walk through labyrinth, a ghostly trail, as well as all the usual farm favourites.

Family-friendly Spooky Nights with child-friendly fairground rides, safe trick or treating around The Village, spooky disco with Skittleman, creepy critter handling, indoor play, animals and much more! Remember to dress up and bring along your trick or treating bucket or bag!

The castle has a range of different events throughout the half term, including a Monstrous Medieval Trail, Haunted History Family Tour, Spooktacular Family Fun Night, Dark Spirits Castle Tour and more!
Adventure Island – Fright Fantastic (26th Oct – 3rd Nov)

Come along for a week full of frightening fun! The week is packed with your favourite Halloween characters at Adventure Island and Sealife Adventure, with themed treasure hunts, face painting and themed entertainment, it’ll knock your socks off… in a good way!
Southend Pier Monster Hunt (26th Oct - 3rd Nov) 
Service: Any central Southend
The monsters have taken over the pier head! Come along to take part in the frightfully fun Monster Hunt and explore the pier head to discover our fun monster characters! Simply collect your activity sheet (£2 per child plus usual pier admission prices). Once completed, head over to the Royal Pavilion to collect your prize! Best of luck!
