Service Information - Storm Darragh, 7 December 2024
Last Updated: 20.15
Weather warnings are in place in the West of England area due to high winds. We are expecting to operate where possible, however disruption is expected. Please check this page for continued updates.
If your service is not mentioned below, then it will be operating normal route, however delays and possible short notice cancellations are still expected.
Bristol area:
For information on services 19, 39/X39, 374, 375, 376 and 376a please see the Bath, Wells and Somerset section below.
For information on services X1-X9 please see the Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset section below.
Following an earlier suspension of all services, Bristol buses have now left their depots to resume service on all routes, and most buses are running.
Regrettably Amazon services have been suspended to and from BRS1 for the rest of the day.
We are expecting disruption to services to continue for much of the day.
Bath, Wells and Somerset area:
Bath, Wells and Somerset area services are operating as normal, but with delays, and disruption is expected to last for the rest of the day.
This is with the exception of services 374/375 between Street and Taunton or Bridgwater, which will not operate for the rest of the day due to the routes being blocked.
Please note: Bath Christmas Market has been cancelled today.
Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset area:
Services X1, X5, X8, X9, 126 and Weston town services 5, 6 and 7 are all back on normal route.
Service X4 is operating as normal except that it is missing out the Sheepway and is staying on the Portbury Hundreds instead.
Service X7 has just returned to normal route as Tickenham is now passable and is expected to now operate as normal for the rest of the evening. (Service X6 has finished for the day.)
Service 1 to and from Sand Bay is unable to operate due to fallen trees on Old Toll Road and on the normal diversion route, and will not resume service today.
Service 20 has resumed, but there is a fallen tree between Lympsham and Brean and much of the route can't be served. Buses are diverting between Copse Corner and Burnham-on-Sea via the A370 Bridgwater Road to Burnham-on-Sea (Swimming Pool/Sea View Road stops) in both directions, and missing out Brean and Berrow. Stops missed out: all stops between Worthy Crescent in Lympsham and Poplar Road in Burnham-on-Sea inclusive.
Service 125 is unable to operate due to fallen tree in Langford and will not resume service today.
