Central Bristol
The Great Bristol Run will be taking place on Sunday 11th May2025
Various roads around Central Bristol will be closed between 04:00 and 17:00 unless stated on service numbers below.
If your service is not listed it will operate normal route.
All services that are diverted along Upper Maudlin Street (past the BRI) will observe the bus stops on both sides of the road at that location.
There will be Supervisors at various locations to assist with any enquiries.

Services 1 & 2 heading towards Cribbs Causeway will operate normal route as far as Temple Meads then divert via Temple Way, taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout and take the slip way back off onto Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout, Marlborough Street past the BRI onto Park Row to resume normal routes at top of Park Street.
Services 1 & 2 heading towards Broomhill/Stockwood will operate normal route as far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street onto St James Barton roundabout, down the Haymarket into Bridewell Street to access the Horsfair for normal route

Services 3 and 4 heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street, St James Barton roundabout, Haymarket, Bridewell Street and Nelson Street and terminate at Nelson Street.
Services 3 and 4 heading towards Cribbs Causeway will commence from Lower Union Street, Rupert Street will divert via St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead, Marlborough Street and Park Row to resume normal route as the top of Park Street.

Service 5 heading towards Clifton from St James Barton roundabout onto Marlborough Street past the BRI onto Park Row to resume normal routes at the top of Park Street to resume normal route.
Service 5 heading towards St Annes from top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street onto St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street (observing stop S1) then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout to resume normal route.

Services 6,7 heading towards Centre will operate normal route as far as the Haymarket and terminate at bus stop B10 (outside Primark)
Services 6,7 heading towards Old Market will commence their journey from the Horsfair and run normal route. Please note: Bus Stop on Nelson Street will not be served.

Service 24 heading towards Southmead Hospital will operate normal route as far as Bedminster Bridge, Clarence Road, onto Temple Meads, Temple Way taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout, Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout, Haymarket, onto Rupert Street, St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead around the St James Barton roundabout then back up Bond Street (observing Haymarket bus stop) then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout to resume normal route.
Service 24 heading towards Ashton will operate normal route as far as The Haymarket then Rupert Street, right into St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead around St James Barton roundabout into Bond Street then around the Newfound Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout back down onto Temple Way, past Temple Meads, and around Bath Bridges, left into Clarence Road resuming normal route from Bedminster Bridge.

Services 8 & 72 heading towards Clifton and UWE will operate normal route as far as the end of Bond Street (service 72 will divert via Temple Way and Bond Street) then divert from St James Barton roundabout into Marlborough Street past the BRI onto Park Row to resume normal routes at the top of Park Street.
Services 8 & 72 heading towards Temple Meads will operate normal route as far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street onto St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout to resume normal routes.

Service 41 heading towards Kingswood will operate normal route as far as the traffic lights at Shirehampton Road and Sylvan Way but instead of turning right into Sylvan Way will continue past Sea Mills Square then divert as a service 4 until the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, past the BRI to St James Barton roundabout then take the second exit onto Bond Street South (observing bus stop S1), around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street and take the slip way up to Old Market roundabout to resume normal route.
Service 41 heading towards Avonmouth will operate normal route as far as St James Barton roundabout then divert via Marlborough Street then Park Row to follow the service 4 route to sea mills Crossroads for normal route to Shirehampton
From 15:00 to 17:00, services heading towards Kingswood will operate normal route as far as the Jacobs Wells roundabout then diver via Jacob Wells Road, Clifton Triangle then as above to Old Market.

Services 42, 43, 44 & 45 heading towards Centre will operate normal route as far as the Haymarket and terminate at bus stop B10 (outside Primark)

Service 73 heading towards UWE From Temple Way, taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout, Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout and Haymarket, then Rupert Street and St Johns Bridge to resume normal route at Lewins Mead.
Service 73 heading towards Temple Meads will operate normal route as far as St James Barton roundabout into Bond Street then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout to resume normal routes.

Services 70, 74, 75 & 76 heading towards Hengrove will operate normal route as far as The Haymarket, onto Rupert Street, right into St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead and Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout into Bond Street then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout back down onto Temple Way, past Temple Meads, and around Bath bridges left into Clarence Road to resume normal routes at Bedminster Bridge.

Service 77 heading towards Henleaze from Horfield will operate normal route to Rupert Street then divert via St Johns Bridge, Lewins Mead left at St James Barton roundabout into Marlborough Street past the BRI onto Park Row to resume normal routes at the top of Park Street.
Service 77 heading towards Horfield from Henleaze will operate the reverse of the above to resume normal route at Haymarket.

Service A1 heading towards Bus Station after serving Temple Meads from Clarence Road, instead of using Victoria Street will divert via Temple Way taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout, Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout and Bus Station.
Service A1 heading towards Bristol Airport from Bus Station will divert via Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout into Bond Street then around the Newfound Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip road onto Old Market roundabout back down onto Temple Way to resume normal route at Temple Meads.

Service U1 when heading towards Centre as normal as far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, past BRI onto Marlborough Street around St James Barton roundabout into Haymarket to terminate their journey at Rupert Street.
Service U1 heading towards Stoke Bishop will commence their journey from Lewins Mead, then left into Lower Maudlin Street onto Park Row to resume normal route at the top of Park Street.

Service U2 heading towards Bristol will operate normal route as far as Jacobs Wells roundabout then turn left into Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton Triangle, Park Row and Marlborough Street to the Bus Station. The bus stop at the bottom of Jacob Wells Road will be observed.
Service U2 heading Langford will divert from Rupert Street via St Johns Bridge Lewins Mead, The Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street, around Newfoundland Road gyratory, Bond Street South, Temple Way, past Temple Meads Station to Bath Bridges roundabout, York Road, Bedminster Bridge roundabout into Coronation Road resuming normal route on Brunel Way and Winterstoke Road bus stop.
From 13:30 services will divert from Bus Station via Haymarket, Marlborough Street, Park Row and Jacob Wells road to resume normal route on Hotwell Road.

Service m2 will divert from Park and Ride Site to use Brunel Way, Coronation Road, onto Temple Way upto Bond Street and turn at Rupert street to follow the reverse. This service will not be able to serve the guideway until 14:45 but will stay on Clarence Road/Temple Way diversion until 16:00.
Services m3 & m4 will terminate and commence your journeys from Lewins Mead.

Services T1, Y1 & Y2 will terminate at Rupert Street and commence their journeys from Lewins Mead.

Service Y6 heading towards Union Street will operate normal route to the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, past the BRI onto St James Barton roundabout down the Haymarket turning at Bridewell Street to access Union Street.
Service Y6 heading towards Chipping Sodbury From Union St will divert via Rupert Street, Lewins Mead, Haymarket, Marlborough Street onto Park Row to resume normal route at the top of Park Street.

Services 349 & 522 heading towards Bristol Bus Station – Normal route to Temple Meads then divert via Temple Way onto Temple Way taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout, Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout and to Bristol Bus Station.
Services 349 & 522 heading towards Bath & Keynsham – From Bristol Bus Station diverted via The Haymarket, Bear Pit, Bond Street, around the Gyratory, Bond Street South, via the slip roads at Old Market roundabout, Temple Way resuming normal routes from Temple Meads.

Services 39, 376 & X39 heading towards Bristol Bus Station – Normal route to Temple Meads then divert via Temple Way onto Temple Way taking the slip road onto Old Market roundabout (observing bus stop), Bond Street South onto Bond Street to St James Barton roundabout to Bristol Bus Station.
Services 39, 376 & X39, heading towards Bath & Keynsham – From Bristol Bus Station diverted via The Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street, around the Gyratory, Bond Street South, via the slip roads at Old Market roundabout (observing stop M1 after roundabout), Temple Way resuming normal routes from Temple Meads.

North Somerset Services
Hotwell Road will be closed from Bristol only between the hours of 05:00 and 13:30.
Services heading towards Bristol will operate normal route as far as Jacobs Wells roundabout then turn left into Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton Triangle, Park Row and Marlborough Street to the Bus Station. The bus stop at the bottom of Jacob Wells Road will be observed.
Services heading from Bus Station will divert via The Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street, around Newfoundland Road gyratory, Bond Street South, Temple Way, past Temple Meads Station to Bath Bridges roundabout, Clarence Road, Bedminster Bridge roundabout into Coronation Road resuming normal route on Brunel Way and Winterstoke Road bus stop.
From 13:30 services will divert from Bus Station via Haymarket, Marlborough Street, Park Row and Jacob Wells Road to resume normal route on Hotwell Road.
