    Butts Batch, Wrington
  • Cause
    Water works
  • Effective
    03/04/2023 - 12/04/2023

UPDATE as at Thursday 6th April. These works are overrunning and the closure will now be in place until at least 12th April.

Butts Batch, Wrington will be closed for water works from Monday 3rd April to Friday 7th April, affecting service 51.

From Weston-super-Mare, instead of entering Wrington via Havyatt Road to the Golden Lion, and then returning to Weston via Half Yard, the 51 will divert as follows:

Stay on the A38 instead of turning into Havyatt Road, then turn left onto The Pound and via Long Lane and School Road into Wrington. The bus will be unable to serve the stop at the Golden Lion. Instead, it will turn left onto Silver Street and terminate at the Garsons stop, facing south (whereas it would usually face north). All customers will need to use the southbound Garsons stop in order to use the 51 during this diversion.

Upon leaving the Garsons stop, the bus will continue via Havyatt Road and turn right onto the A38, then resume normal route at Langford.

This means that the following bus stops (in addition to the Golden Lion) will also not be able to be served:

-The Glebe (nearest stop will be Garstons in Wrington)

-Greenwell Lane (nearest alternative stop will be Langford Post Office).

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
