    11/12/2022 - 30/03/2023

From Sunday 11th December 2022, we will be making some changes to our network.

As we continue to emerge from the pandemic and adapt to changes in customer travel trends, we need to make sure that the network of services that we offer across Aberdeen, as well as the resources used to operate that network, are deployed to where it’s needed the most and to areas that will allow us to take advantage of new opportunities and grow the business.

As a result of our recent consultation on our proposals about the future of services 8/8A and X27, we received over 500 submissions from customers, communities and stakeholders – we’d like to thank each and every one of those that took the time to engage in our process and helped to shape our plans.

As a result of the feedback that we received, we’ve been able to make some adjustments to our original proposals that will continue to make sure that journeys operate at key times where there’s a clear demand to keep schools and places of work connected.

The following changes will therefore come into effect on Sunday 11th December 2022:

Service 8/8A (Dubford – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary)

The last day of operation of this service will be Saturday 10th December 2022.

Following feedback that we’ve received during our consultation from the communities in the Bridge of Don area, we’re introducing schooldays only service 32, which will maintain links to/from Oldmachar Academy between Dubford, Sheilhill and Danestone, the timings of which will be coordinated to align with school entry and exit times.

For customers travelling to/from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a change of bus will be required in the city centre. Services 1/1B/2 will maintain links between Dubford/Bridge of Don and the City Centre, while services 3/3A/3B will maintain access between the City Centre and the hospital grounds and vice versa. Service 23 also provides additional journey opportunities to/from the City Centre and passes the hospital campus on Westburn Road.

Service 17/17A/17K/172 (Faulds Gate – Dyce) - Click to see timetable

Following feedback that we received during our consultation, we’ve identified a way to make sure that Kirkhill Industrial Estate continues to be served at peak times on Mondays to Fridays. Journeys numbered 17K will operate between Faulds Gate and Kirkhill Industrial Estate via the City Centre in the early morning and late afternoon peak periods.

A revised timetable has been introduced to accommodate these changes.

Service 18 (Redmoss – Dyce) - Click to see timetable

Minor timetable revisions introduced to coordinate with service 17/17A/17K/172.

Service X27 (City Centre – Dyce via Aberdeen Airport)

The last day of operation of this service will be Saturday 10th December 2022.

As a result of feedback that we received during our consultation, we’re maintaining access to Kirkhill Industrial Estate during peak times on Mondays to Fridays through the introduction of service 17K above.

Service 32 (Dubford – Oldmachar Academy) - Click to see timetable

Following feedback that we’ve received during our consultation from the communities in the Bridge of Don area, we’re introducing new schooldays only service 32, which will maintain links to/from Oldmachar Academy between Dubford, Sheilhill and Danestone, the timings of which will be coordinated to align with school entry and exit times.
