Upcoming Diversions (August 2024)

SERVICE X50

Due to dangerous brickwork found on the rail overbridge at Worcestershire Parkway, service X50 is diverted again in both directions between Blind College and Drakes Broughton as follows;

From Blind College bus stop, service will turn left onto A4440, then right onto A44. It will then turn right to continue on A44, and right onto Windmill Hill and follow to the end. The service will then resume normal route at Caldewell Lodge bus stop, between Stoulton and Drakes Broughton. The diversion also applies in the opposite direction.

Bus stops at Stoulton, Worcestershire Parkway and Whittington will be omitted during this closure. This is due to last until at least Sunday 18 August 2024.

SERVICE 35

Due to resurfacing works on Cranham Drive, service 35 is currently diverted until and including Tuesday 20 August, not including weekends.

From Langdale Drive, service will divert onto Windermere Drive to Blackpole roundabout, encircle the roundabout and resume normal route. From Sainsbury’s, the service will remain on Windermere Drive and then turn right onto Langdale Drive to resume normal route.

Once the works progress towards the Glovers Needle end of the road, we will be able to serve Tetbury Drive again but we are not expecting this until Wednesday at the earliest.

SERVICE 44 – Madresfield Road, Malvern closed.

On Tuesday 27 August 2024 for 4 days, Madresfield Road in Malvern will be closed meaning service 44 will need to divert in both directions.

• Service will stay on Pickersleigh Road between Prospect View and Barnards Green roundabout.
• Bus stops at Madresfield Road, Elgar Avenue, Pound Bank, Moat Way, Skyrrold Road, Crown Lea Avenue, Ford Close and Borrowdale Road will not be served in both directions. Barnards Green Shops will also not be served towards Worcester – passengers wishing to board here will need to use the Clock Shelter bus stop on the roundabout itself during this diversion. Buses will stop at the stop in both directions.

SERVICE 144 – Gibb Lane, Catshill closed.

On Wednesday 21 August 2024 for 3 days, Gibb Lane is closed between Golden Cross lane and Catshill War memorial. Service 144 will need to divert in both directions and unfortunately we will not be able to serve Catshill during this time.

The revised route now means we’ll run normal route as far as Barnsley Hall roundabout on the B4091 Stourbridge Rd. Then encircle the roundabout & come back to the first bus stop (Barnsley Hall) wait time & resume normal inbound service from there.
