Current Diversions

SERVICE 44/S43/S44

From Monday 15 January until approximately 22 March 2024, St. John’s will be closed in one direction from Bull Ring up to the junction of Bransford Road for footpath reconstruction works. Services will divert towards Malvern by using Bromyard Road, Watery Lane and Bransford Road, resuming normal route at St. John’s Sports Centre. No bus stops will be missed due to this closure and the road towards Worcester will remain open throughout.

SERVICE 600

From Tuesday 02 January 2024 for a period of 4 weeks, Little Marcle Road in Ledbury will be closed for gas main replacement works. Service 600 will be diverting via Leadon Way and rejoining normal route on New Street during this period.

SERVICE 35*

Cranham Drive is closed between the junctions of Crickley Drive and Sheepscombe Drive from start of service on Monday 12 February through to end of service on Saturday 17 February. Buses will be diverted and unable to serve bus stops at St. Wulstan’s Church, Brookthorpe Close, Cranham Church, Haresfield Close and Chatcombe Drive.

SERVICE 144*

Due to the closure of Ford Road in Bromsgrove on Monday 12 February for 5 days, service 144 will be diverted via Charford Road and A38 in both directions. Bus stops at Court Leet and Market Hall in both directions will not be served.

SERVICE 363*

Due to the closure of B4424 outside Callow End Primary School on Monday 12 February for 5 days, bus stops between and including Bluebell Inn in Callow End and The Rhydd will not be served in both directions.

SERVICE 44*

Due to the closure of Madresfield Road in Malvern on Friday 16 February between 0930 and 1700, service 44 will not be able to serve bus stops between and including Madresfield Road and Borrowdale Road, throughout Pound Bank. Buses will be diverting via Pickersleigh Road in both directions – we will be using the bus stop on Barnard’s Green roundabout for travel in both directions.

*Diversions are subject to change due to the Council roadworks schedule.This is in addition to ongoing closures next week of Sansome Street in Worcester City Centre and the bus lane in Foregate Street.

We are also expecting major delays to service 35 until further notice due to the wall collapse near the junction of Reservoir Lane and subsequent temporary traffic lights.

Ledbury Cross Closure

Services will be diverted to alternative routes throughout February Half Term (12-16th Feb.)

SERVICE 600

Start at Tesco – normal route through to Lower Road, then instead of serving Little Marcle Road, we will divert via Lower Road and Long Acres to terminate at Tesco. Little Marcle Road, Ledbury Memorial and New Road (Co-op) will not be served.

SERVICE 672 (Thursday only)

Normal route to Tesco, right into Orchard Lane, Long Acres, Lower Road and Leadon Way to terminate at New Mils Aldi. 1205 journey will start at Tesco. Ledbury Memorial will not be served.

SERVICE 673 (Tuesday/Thursday)

Start and terminate at Tesco (Market House/Memorial not served).

SERVICE 675

Start and terminate at Tesco (Market House/Memorial not served). Buses that run into 600 will run empty from Tesco via The Homend, Bye Street and Long Acres to start journey from Tesco.

SERVICE 676 AT 1750

This service will terminate this service in Colwall Green during this week.

SERVICE 417

From Tesco, this will divert via Orchard Lane, Long Acres, Lower Road, Leadon Way, The Southend to resume normal route in Biddulph Way. Buses toward Worcester will serve the diversion route in reverse.

SERVICE 405/482

Start and terminate at Tesco (Market House/Memorial not served).

Worcester Carnival closures and diversions 6 July 2024

Worcester Carnival takes place on Saturday 06 July in Worcester City Centre with many roads closed including Worcester Bridge, The Butts, Sansome Street, City Walls Road, Deansway, College Street, Castle Street and Foregate Street. This means all services running in and out of Worcester City Centre will be starting/terminating in different locations between 1430 and 1700 on this date.

Crowngate Bus Station will be CLOSED between 1430 and 1700 – no services will arrive or depart from here between these times. We are advised that the road may re-open in places earlier than 1700 – if this does occur, we will return to normal route as soon as we can.

310/311/313	Service will start/terminate in the layby on the West side of the river. 1340 311 service from Clifton-upon-Teme to Worcester will terminate at the river layby. 1425 313 service from Worcester to Clifton-upon-Teme will start from the river layby. 1508 310 service from Clifton-upon-Teme to Worcester will terminate at the river layby. 1600 310 service from Worcester to Clifton-upon-Teme will start from the river layby.
417	The 1500 Ledbury to Worcester service will terminate at the river layby. 1605 Worcester to Ledbury service will start from the layby. All other services remain unaffected.
27	This service will not operate at 1510 or 1610. All other departures are unaffected.
32	Service will start/terminate in Sidbury inbound and The Albion bus stop outbound. City Walls Road, St. Nicholas’ Street, Crowngate Bus Station and the Cathedral bus stops will not be served.
28/45	Service will start/terminate in Sidbury. City Walls Road, St. Nicholas’ Street, Crowngate Bus Station and the Cathedral bus stops will not be served.
X50	Services towards Evesham at 1510 and 1610 will start from Sidbury. Service towards Worcester arriving between 1430 and 1700 will use London Road, then Battenhall Road, Timberdine Avenue and Bath Road to terminate in Sidbury. City Walls Road, St. Nicholas’ Street, Crowngate Bus Station and the Cathedral bus stops will not be served.
34	Service will start/terminate in Lowesmoor. Crowngate Bus Station & Sansome Street will not be served during this closure. Last service expected from Crowngate will be at 1436 until the road re-opens around 1700.
35	Service will start/terminate in Lowesmoor. Crowngate Bus Station & Sansome Street will not be served during this closure. Last service expected from Crowngate will be at 1447 until the road re-opens around 1700.
38	Service will start/terminate in Lowesmoor. Crowngate Bus Station & Sansome Street will not be served during this closure. Last service expected from Crowngate will be at 1425 until the road re-opens around 1700.
36	The 1530 departure from Crowngate Bus Station to Royal Hospital will start from St. George’s Square bus stop on Barbourne Road. The 1455 arrival into Crowngate from the Royal Hospital will terminate on The Tything. Foregate Street and Little London will not be served on both mentioned journeys. SERVICE 144 – Departures from Crowngate will be as follows; 1440 to Catshill will depart from Crowngate normally. 1500 to Catshill will start from The Tything – will not serve Crowngate Bus Station and Foregate Street. 1520 to Catshill will start from St. George’s Square bus stop on Barbourne Road. Service will not be able to serve Crowngate, Foregate Street, The Tything or Little London. 1540 to Catshill will depart Crowngate normally.
144	arriving into Worcester at 1450, 1510 and 1530 will terminate on The Tything and will not be able to serve Foregate Street or Crowngate Bus Station.
675/676	unaffected by this closure and can operate normal route subject to any other diversions in place at the time.
Diamond 294/296	services will start/terminate at river layby on the West of the City.
Diamond 303	service will terminate on The Tything, and restart at Checketts Lane, Ombersley Road towards Kidderminster.

There will be extra staff on hand at Lowesmoor, river layby in St. John’s and in Crowngate to answer customer questions. These are approximate timings to close and re-open roads given to us by Worcestershire County Council in co-ordination with Worcester Carnival and are subject to change at very short notice. All on the day communications will be done via X through Customer Services when roads close/re-open.

At the time of writing we have no information on services operated by Astons Coaches [332], Diamond [149], LMS Travel [21/24/423/356] or Kev’s Coaches [355].
