Standard Fare Charge
Customers must be in possession of a valid ticket when using our services. If travelling with a discounted/student ticket, customers must carry the required ID to show they are eligible for that particular ticket.

Appealing a standard fare charge / Set up a payment plan
If you have received a standard fare charge on one of our services, and you don’t believe you should have done, you may send an appeal so it can be looked into further.
You must choose the correct area that you are travelling in or your appeal will be automatically rejected.

No – you cannot appeal. If using a discounted or student ticket, you must carry the required photo ID with you. Our Revenue Protection Officers need to be able to match the photo ID with the passenger. It is therefore, not acceptable to upload a picture of the ID at a later time.
No – you cannot appeal. It is your responsibility to have a valid ticket for the entire journey. You should always ensure you collect the ticket from the machine and retain it until you leave the bus. The ticket gives the Revenue Protection Officer many details including the fare paid, boarding point, type of ticket, distance paid for etc. The CCTV will not show this information, even if data protection regulations allowed us to look.
No – you cannot appeal. Our Terms & Conditions apply equally to all passengers.
No – you cannot appeal. It is your responsibility to purchase the correct ticket for your journey.
No – you cannot appeal. Our drivers are trying to keep to timetables and they don’t always have the time to wait for passengers to search through bags to find their ID cards. You must be in possession of the relevant ID card to use a discounted ticket.
