Services 97,98, 798 & 798a - Abbeydale road *UPDATE*

Due to emergency disruptions services are currently being diverted. 

Services affected: 388

Diversions as follows, until further notice: 

From Thorne Market Place to Haynes Road, Miller Lane, Wike Gate Road, Church Balk (junction of Coulman Road), St Nicholas Road to return back to Thorne Market Place. 

Remembrance Weekend Travel

All Services – Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th November

First are once again proud to offer free travel for all veterans, military personnel and cadets either in uniform or showing veteran / military cards over both days.
 

Northern Powergrid works on Barnsley Road at the junction of Norwood Road are delaying our services up to 36 minutes.

(combined with the closure of Abbeydale Road South has lead to significant regulation of services)

Services affected: 20,47,48,75/75a,76,76a, 97, 98

Works due for completion by 8th November.
 

Long Lane has been closed by Yorkshire Water for unannounced works.

Services affected: 763, 763a, 764, 752 & 765 School services

Services will be diverted as follows, until further notice: 

752a School service: 
Diversion via Dykes Hall Road, Worrall Road & Kirk Edge Road, in both directions.

763, 763a & 764 School services:
Diversion via Wisewood Lane, Hallowmoor Road, Ben Lane, Dykes Hall Road, Worrall Road and Kirk Edge Road,  in both directions.

Work due for completion by 11th November.

Ellison Road is closed for water main replacement.

Services are unable to serve South Common and will divert via Field Road in both directions. 

81, 763 & 763a Services – Until further notice (at all times)

Acorn Drive has been closured due to emergency electrical works by Northern Powergrid.

INBOUND service diverted Bankfield Lane & Stannington Road (omitting the estate).

Works suggested to be complete by 5th November.

Service 86 - Burncross Road

Due to a burst water main, Burncross Road has been closed by Yorkshire Water and services are required to divert until 8th November.

Services are diverted via the Acorn PH crossroads, Hollow Gate, Greengate Lane, Worrall road, School Road, Lane End & Lound Side in both directions.

*UPDATE - Road has reopened and services back to usual line of route*

Services 97/98/798 & 798a - Due to the unannounced closure of Abbeydale road south

Services will turn right at the Abbey lane crossroads, onto Whirlowdale road, Ecclesall road south, onto Cross lane / Causeway head road through Dore, Totley to the respective terminus.

This will be in both directions until further notice.

Information on one.network suggests works may complete by 6th November.
 

Monday 28th October – Sunday 1st December

Dale Road will be closed between the junctions of Low Road and Castle Street for gas main replacement work

Services towards Sheffield are diverting via Low Road, New Hill, High Street before resuming normal route on Church Street.

Services to Doncaster are unaffected and should operate as normal.

305 services - Blyth Road

Due to the closure of Blyth Road, the 305 services will be unable to serve Harworth. This is expected until 12th November.
