Whitworth Road, Gosport. Service E1

Route Diversions, Routes 5 and 9/9A.
Gosport Half Marathon. Browndown Road, Lee on Solent and Stubbington areas.
Sunday 17th November 0830 – 1400*
 
Due to the Gosport Half Marathon event, routes 5 and 9/9A will be on diversion.
During the event times, the above routes will not be able to serve:

Route 5 From Browndown Road Kingfisher Caravan Park, Lee on Solent Seafront to Stubbington Village, including Cherque Farm Area.

Alternative stops Stubbington Village or Stokes Bay Home Park.

Routes 9/9A will not serve Browndown Road Kingfisher Caravan Park.

Alternative stops at Bay House School or Grange Road.

These diversions will be in both directions.

Festing Road is closed until further notice from the 11th of November until the 31st of December due to ongoing road works. The following diversions are in place:

Services 1 towards South Parade Pier​:

Diverting via Eastney Road, Cromwell Road, St Georges Road and Eastern Parade back onto the normal route. TEMPORARY STOP IN CROMWELL ROAD

Services 1 towards Milton Park​:

Diverting after serving Canoe Lake Bus Stop, via Eastern Parade, St Georges Road, Cromwell Road and Eastney Road back onto the normal route.​ TEMPORARY STOP IN CROMWELL ROAD

As soon as the junction at the Festing Hotel is open we will return to normal route.

Temporary Stop Closures Wickham. Route 20.
Saturday 16th November 0700 - 2100

Due to the annual Wickham Christmas Cracker Event, route 20 will terminate at the temporary stops at Hoads Hill roundabout.

Wickham Square, Wickham Railway Bridge and Shell Garage stops will not be served during this event.

Service H1 - Pier Road Closure

Pier Road will be closed for works from 18th November until 23rd November, at all times. Services will be diverted as follows:

Hover Bus towards Gunwharf: Duisberg Way, Western Parade, Bellevue Terrace and then normal route. 

Hover Bus towards Terminal: Bellevue Terrace, Southsea Terrace, Western Parade, Duisberg Way and then normal route.
 

THIS IS JUST A DIVERSION AND NO STOPS WILL BE MISSED.

Service 22 - The Sailsbury, Cosham Bus Stop Suspension

The above bus stops will be suspended from 18th November until 22nd November at all times. Please use an alternative stop. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works.

Route Diversion, Routes X4 and X5
City Centre, Monday 4th November for up to 7 Weeks.

Due to the Christmas Fair and road closures in Southampton City Centre, routes X4 and X5 will not be able to serve the stops at:
Marlands Centre,  WestQuay, Castle Way, or Holyrood Church towards Woolston, Locks Heath, Fareham and Portsmouth.
Passengers are advised to use the alternative stops at either:

Houndwell Park, Queensway (old Debenhams Store) or the Oxford Street stop.
Services towards Southampton Central Station are unaffected and will remain on normal route.

Passengers area advised to check back regularly for updates on the diversion.

Whitworth Road, at the back of the old Bingo Hall will be closed for two nights on the 15th & 16th November between 7pm & 6am. Service E1 will divert away from this area via Forton Road, Anns Hill Road and the War Memorial Hospital. The stops on Whitworth Road and Gordon Road will not be served during these times. Please use alternative stops on the E2 route. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. These works are out of our control and may change at short notice.

Whitworth Road, Gosport is closed due To Resurfacing Works on Whitworth Road at the junction of Leesland Road

Friday 15th November for 2 Nights (1900 – 0600)

Services E1 towards Gosport

Services diverting via The Crossways, Forton Road, Anns Hill road, Gospot via Bury Road,Gordon Road junction onto normal route.

Services E1 towards Fareham

Services diverting via Bury Road, Anns Hill Road, Forton Road, The Crossways then onto normal route.

From Monday 28th October,

Passengers will be able to board the bus at the new stop in North Cross Street.

Passengers for route 11 please be aware that;
both Alverstoke and Fareham services depart from this location, please check the destination screen on your approaching bus.

Drift Road in Clanfield will be closed for gas works between the 28th October and 29th November 2024. Service 8 will divert around the loop at Clanfield in the opposite direction as far as the roundabout at Drift Road. The bus will then do a U turn at this roundabout and pick up it's normal route towards Portsmouth at Draycote Road. Temporary bus stops will be placed northbound on Tarn Rise, Downwood Way and White Dirt Lane. Bus stops on London Road and Drift Road will not be served.
