Clock Change - End of British Summertime

At 02:00am on 27th October, the clocks go back by 1 hour to mark the end of British Summertime.

The Night services operating at this time will disregard the time change.

From Sunday 3rd November, revised timetables will operate on the following services.

Service 201: Hairmyres - Petersburn

Service 240: Overtown - Buchanan Bus Station

Service 266: Hamilton Bus Station - Shotts/Newmains

Service 267: Hamilton Bus Station - Buchanan Bus Station

Minor adjustments will be made to services 241, 255 and 261. Service 18 City Centre terminus will move to Douglas Street.

Due to building works on Monday 28th October 2024 for 2 years Oswald Street bus Stop 60904 (Barrhead Travel) will be closed.

During the closure of the bus stop alternative stops will be used as follows:

Services 1 1A 1B 1C 1D 1E X4 use next stop Argyle Street at JP Morgan.

Services 9 9A 10 will use next stop 60908 Hope Street before Waterloo Street.

Services 2 3 4 4A will use their next available stop Hope Street at Bothwell Street.

Service 4 towards Newton Mearns only.

To allow for Scottish Water works on Monday 28th October until Wednesday 30th October Busby Road will have lane restrictions and a no right turn onto Mearns Road towards Newton Mearns.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Service 4 towards Newton Mearns

Normal route Busby Road at Mearns Road then diverting via Busby Road, circling Sheddens Roundabout and returning to Busby Road, taking a left onto Mearns Road and resuming normal route.

To allow for bridge inspection on Sunday 27th October from 21:30 until Monday 28th October 06:00, Dundyvan Road will be closed at the bridge.

Service 201 towards Petersburn:

Normal route Whifflet Street at Dundyvan Road, continue Whifflet Street, 2nd exit at roundabout Coatbank Street, 1st exit at roundabout South Circular Road, 2nd exit at roundabout South Circular Road, 5th exit at roundabout at the fountain and back along South Circular Road and normal route.

Service 201 towards Hairmyres:

Normal route South Circular Road at the fountain circle the roundabout and back on South Circular Road, 2nd exit at roundabout South Circular Road, 3rd exit at roundabout Coatbank Street, 3rd exit at roundabout continue Coatbank Street, 1st exit at roundabout Whifflet Street normal route.

Due to Scottish Power works on Monday 21st October for up to 2 weeks, several bus stops will be closed on Burnbank Road.

This closure is to allow installation of Zebra Crossing on Burnbank Road near West Stewart Street.

Towards Hamilton, there will be a temporary stop on Burnbank Road Opp Woodview Terrace.

Towards High Blantyre passengers will be directed to the next stop 615059, Newfield Crescent.

From Sunday 20th October, minor timetable adjustments will be in place on Service 38A/B/C.

Monday - Friday

38C from Chryston at 07:29 will depart a 07:19.

38C from City Centre at 08:15 will depart at 08:05.

West Regent Street will no longer be served by 38C.

To allow for Building Works on Bath Street at West Nile Street bus stop 6090168 will be closed from Wednesday 09/10 from 09:30 for up to 6 Months.

During the closure, please use prior stop 60904044 under Buchanan Galleries.

Service 88, 88A - Crosshill Road/Boghead

Due to road works on Tuesday 1st October - Sunday 3rd November Crosshill Road/Boghead Road will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:                  

Service 88 88A towards Harestanes:

Normal route to Crosshill Road, Cole Road, Kirkintilloch Road, Glasgow Road, New Lairdsland Road, Industry Street, Townhead then normal route.

Service 88 88A towards Glasgow:

Normal route to Cowgate, Industry Street, New Lairdsland Road, Glasgow Road, Kirkintilloch Road, Cole Road, Crosshill Road then normal route.

To allow for Major Road works on Monday 23rd September until Monday 4th November Wallacewell Roundabout will be removed and road layout altered.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:
 

Service 8 towards Parkhead.

Lamont Road, Wallacewell Road and Wallacewell Quadrant.

Service 8 towards Partick.

Wallacewell Quadrant, Wallacewell Road and Lamont Road.
