From meeting that love of your life, landing in a country for the very first time or taking the first step in your career – it all starts on a First Bus. We’re shining a spotlight on our customers, their stories and how a simple bus journey can lead to so much more. Welcome to #FirstBusFirsts

More than a Volunteer

Through his volunteering with Beatson Cancer Charity, Abdulmuiz has gained confidence, found a sense of belonging and settled into life in Scotland.

Volunteers are at the heart and soul of Beatson Cancer Charity. Without the bus, Abdulmuiz wouldn’t be able to fulfil his volunteering duties. We’re a proud partner of Beatson, and the support they offer people affected by cancer, every step of the way.

More than a Guide Dog

Sometimes a single journey, can mean so much more. Laura and Autumn take the bus everywhere, with each bus ride representing more than just transportation, but a symbol of independence and freedom.

Lynne’s First True Love

Next Stop? Love. There are sliding door moments in life, and sometimes those doors are to a double decker bus. Eighteen years ago, Lynne Connelly took her usual commute on the No.57 bus from Pollokshaws to Glasgow city centre. One day, in 2005 Lynne caught the eye of fellow passenger, John. Little did she know that a simple bus journey that morning, was the start of a whole new chapter.
