UPDATE: The overnight roadworks, taking place on Parkway, Chelmsford have been moved. Therefore the diversion routes for services C4, 300, X10 and X30 have been revised.
Parkway, Chelmsford is to be closed from its junction with Rainsford Road to its junction with Viaduct Road.
The road is to be closed from 21:00hrs each night and is to re-open from 05:00hrs the next morning.
Please note. roadworks/road closures will not be conducted over the weekend.
Parkway, Chelmsford will be closed for overnight roadworks on the following dates:
- Thursday 17th October 2024
- Friday 18th October 2024
- Monday 21st October 2024
- Tuesday 22nd October 2024
- Wednesday 23rd October 2024
- Thursday 24th October 2024
Due to the location of the road closure the C4, 300, X10 and X30 services will be placed on diversion:
C4
Towards Chelmsford Bus Station: Normal line of route - no diversion required. All bus stops served.
Towards Writtle: The C4 service will divert after serving Chelmsford Bus Station via Broomfield Road, Parkway and Rectory Lane before returning to normal line of route. All bus stops will be served.
300
The 300 service will not serve Chelmsford Bus Station. Instead the 300 service will terminate at Chelmsford Retail Market bus stop. The journey will wait time and restart service towards Basildon at next scheduled departure from Chelmsford Cathedral bus stop (located on Dukes Street).
The following bus stops will not be served:
- County Hotel
- Chelmsford Bus Station
X10
The X10 service will serve all bus stops as normal - however, the service will approach/depart Chelmsford Bus Station from a different direction. Due to the length of the diversion, there will likely be minor delays to service.
X30
Towards Southend-on-Sea: Normal line of route - no diversion required. All bus stops served.
Towards Stansted Airport: The X30 service will divert after serving Chelmsford Army & Navy via Victoria Road South, Duke Street, Victoria Road, New Street, Rectory Lane, Parkway, Broomfield Road and Duke Street before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. All bus stops will be served.
