UPDATE: The overnight roadworks, taking place on Parkway, Chelmsford have been moved. Parkway, Chelmsford is to be closed from its junction with Glebe Road/Rainsford Road/Rainsford Lane to its junction with Coval Lane.

The road is to be closed from 21:00hrs each night and is to re-open from 05:00hrs the next morning.

Parkway, Chelmsford will be closed for overnight roadworks on the following dates:

  • Thursday 31st October 2024
  • Friday 1st November 2024

Due to the location of the road closure the C1, C2, C3, C10, 170/370, X10 and X30 services will be placed on diversion:

C1 

Towards Great Waltham: Normal line of route - No diversion required. All bus stops served.

Towards Galleywood: The C1 service will divert after serving Keene Home bus stop via Rectory Lane, New Street, Victoria Road and Duke Street before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. The following bus stop will not be served: The Ship (towards Chelmsford Bus Station only).

C2 C3 C10

Towards Broomfield: Normal line of route - No diversion required. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: The C2, C3 and C10 services will divert after serving Keene Home bus stop via Rectory Lane, New Street, Victoria Road and Duke Street before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. The following bus stops will not be served: The Ship (towards Chelmsford Bus Station only) and Railway Station (Service C3 only).

Towards Braintree: Normal line of route - No diversion required. All bus stops served.

Towards Chelmsford: 170 and 370 services will divert after serving Keene Home bus stop via Rectory Lane, New Street, Victoria Road, Victoria Road South, Parkway and Rainsford Road before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. The following bus stop will not be served: The Ship (towards Chelmsford Bus Station only).

X10

Towards Stansted Airport: Normal line of route - No diversion required. All bus stops served.

Towards Basildon: The X10 service will divert from Broomfield Road via Rectory Lane, New Street, Victoria Road and Duke Street before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. All bus stops served.

X30

Towards Stansted Airport: Normal line of route - No diversion required. All bus stops served.

Towards Southend-on-Sea: The X30 service will divert from Broomfield Road via Rectory Lane, New Street, Victoria Road, Victoria Road South, Parkway and Rainsford Road before returning to normal line of route at Chelmsford Bus Station. All bus stops served.
